It has been some time since I did colorwork (CW), and I have not done a CW project where the gauge was terribly important. I would like to swatch with the yarns I have chosen for the MYAL. (1) Does anyone have a suggestion for a swatch pattern I might use to test my CW gauge? (2) Does anyone find they need to move up more than one standard needle size when doing CW, as compared to stockinette? Thank you! Have a fantastic day!

It’s very frustrating, I’ve been away from home since I signed up for the KAL I’ve been separated from my stash! I’m now back and I think I’m there. I need to do lots of swatching now to make sure I can get a consistent gauge. Any thoughts?

Hi everyone! So excited to join this group and the MYAL, my first. One question about using high contrast colors - I am anxious about the dark colors of Color C bleeding when I block with a very light Color A/D, especially as some of my yarns are made by smaller producers. Do you have special suggestions to avoid that? Still working to identify my colors, but anticipate high contrast no matter what I choose. Thank you!

Hi everyone. My name is Deborah Whitehurst. I also go by the name The Spatially Challenged Knitter on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. I live in San Diego, California. This will be my second Mystery Yoke Sweater. Here's a picture of my completed sweater from last year. (Full disclosure, I didn't finish it until September. Sorry Zanete!) I'm still trying to decide between the cardigan and the pullover for this year. I'll post some yarn choices soon. I'm very excited for this year's mystery!

I’d like to use a couple of skeins of Spincycle but I don’t have enough for one color. Do you think I could add in the Spincycle with solid colors? Also, is my color “d” too bland?
