New Watch and WotD
Good day gents. As though I dont post much, some of my previous posts have shown I have a nerdy/geeky side, as my first childhood watch was Winnie the Pooh watch, and I have a Citizen Mandalorian watch. My newest addition to the nerd/watch collection is a limited edition Seiko collaboration with Hatsune Miku, a virtual singer. Its based on a song (thus the music box), and was limited to 1000 units. I got number 690. It wears snug, but does have a few extra links. The dial is really beautiful, and have gotten a few compliments on it.

When do you wear your watches?
Now that I’m retired, and it’s summer, I spend a lot more time at home, and I rarely wear watches when I’m not heading out. When I was working from home I always wore a watch because it was part of my work wear. So I’m curious, do you always wear a watch, even when you’re staying at home or do you take days off?

I wear one mostly all the time. At work, and about 50/50 at home
My WotD
Today is something a bit different. A few days ago, I was at work and my coworker happened to notice my watch. I had noticed his, it looked like an Omega but I couldn't quite tell because his long sleeves covered. Ended up he's a watch guy, and he actually did have an Omega. But the next day he gifted me his older watch, which I wore today. Its a Seiko Kinetic 50. Not a bad watch, but no manual winding is a bit odd.

Nephews Grad Gift
My nephew had graduated High school this week. He had told me his previous watch (and Apple) had gotten misplaced, though possibly stolen. Since he's a fan of Space and NASA, I decided to get him a Bulova Lunar Pilot. (One in picture is the one I own). I wanted to get him something that he'd enjoy and use.

I keep my mechanical watches in a watch winder for the most part. My quartz watches are in a watch box. For some, such as my daily G-Shock, I leave it by my keys so I can grab my daily and go. However, I do need another watch box, I just haven't gotten one yet. I personally store my watches in the same closet as my towels, mainly because I would suspect a thief would look around the dresser, and not the closet with towels.
