Bidding + Manufacturers
Hi Everyone! I have been requesting quotes and bidding for the past month so I am still fairly new; however, I have received many "no bid" responses as the approved manufacturers are already doing business with the Government directly, and the quotes that I have received aren't the most competitive and appear to be much higher than winning bids even before I add a small profit margin to the quote. For those of you who have managed to establish a profitable business by bidding with the DLA via DIBBS, did you establish a partnership with specific manufacturers or have you managed to become an official distributor with specific manufacturers that have granted you direct pricing allowing your bids to be competitive? I'm trying to figure out the best way to scale. Submitting quote after quote does work, but winning bids this way feels more like a lucky "one off" rather than a solid business model. Thank you in advance. cc: @Day Cantave

@Lance Russell i see the same thing. I have managed to win a few but the profit margins aren’t great. So trying to figure out different strategies for sure.

Management Price and the Automated Evaluation Program Price Analysis Module
Good evening everyone, I received this email just now that "none of the quotes received by the solicitation return date passed the automated evaluation program price analysis module." They extending the deadline by a few days, but if this is my best-and-final, no action is required. However, they are asking for for a revised quote. What is tripping me up is that when I look in NSN-Now the management price is almost 20% higher than my price. Where does the community think I am not looking at this situations correctly in my analysis of the situation? Any recommendations on how you would respond? I am think of a slight price decrease, but I am getting stuck in analysis paralysis on the proper action. Thank you all in advance.

@Tom Ernst would you say that it has up to date information regarding management and procurement prices? It’s what I primarily use as well.

Hello everyone, I am having real problems getting good prices from a lot of these companies. I have been getting quotes, but they have been a lot higher than the last time the government brought does anybody have suggestions on how I should come to the companies.
