Alex in Denver, CO
Tell us: ✅ Where you’re from. I was raised in Orlando, FL, but have called Denver, CO home for the last 8 years. ✅ Your age. Hitting 42 years of life thanks to God this February. ✅ Your biggest goal as a Government Contractor. Immediate goal is to get a WIN in a procurement or service contract. My long term goal is to be a government contractor consultant in helping large and small businesses WIN contracts. Quality over quantity is a major focus. ✅ Your biggest struggle as a Government Contractor. Getting small businesses to respond in a timely matter to make the deadline. Networking with the right people has been a struggle.

OCONUS DIBBS Access
Does anyone have any experience getting access to DIBBS outside the continous United States? The situation is that I have a partner who resides across the pond and we want to get them back into the system. I am about to make a blind inquiry with the help desk, but wanted to see if anyone has had any lessons regarding this practice.

@Day Cantave thank you and completely understand. My situation is that I would not need the permission, rather an employee residing overseas. Glad to hear there is a conduit to do that, but we will see what they say. I will post some updates.

So, I finally has a resolution on this issue, and it was incredibly simple. 1. Create a subordinate profile in DIBBS. 2. Do no access this subordinate profile outside of the US until acknowledged by the DLA. 3. Email DIBBS T&Cs MONITOR via their email at [email protected] 4. Articulate to the DIBBS T&Cs Monitor the business need for the access outside of the country and mention the country DIBBS will be accessed. 5. Once they have acknowledged the situation, you can access DIBBS in your foreign country. 6. This access has a sunset, mine was 6 months, but can be renewed. 7. All terms and conditions apply, Notice Display (dla.mil). If there is already a DIBBS profile established, then there is no need to create a new profile, just notify DLA of the foreign travel. Also, the foreign access is ONLY granted to the SPECIFIC profile that is requested for foreign access. I hope this helps.
How to find products in my price range?
I told myself that I would crawl before I walked and walked before I ran. I’m realizing that even with base components you need a lot of capital. A bolt with a quantity of 462 and UI of 100 means you need 46,000 bolts at a dollar or so apiece you need quite a bit of cash. How do I find items of lesser total cost so that I can prove concept?

I use a tool called Dibbs Navigator. This tool will put all solicitations in a spreadsheet with all sorts of information. It will show the last unit price and the specific solicitation's quantity. You can also sort the information and glance at hundreds of solicitations quickly. So that could give you a gauge as to what the cost of goods would be. Now, it is my understanding that Loocey with do the same thing. So if you have signed up there, you should have that capability. Full transparency, I am looking to replace Dibbs Navigator with Loocey, as well. Just learning where all the buttons are at the moment.

Management Price and the Automated Evaluation Program Price Analysis Module
Good evening everyone, I received this email just now that "none of the quotes received by the solicitation return date passed the automated evaluation program price analysis module." They extending the deadline by a few days, but if this is my best-and-final, no action is required. However, they are asking for for a revised quote. What is tripping me up is that when I look in NSN-Now the management price is almost 20% higher than my price. Where does the community think I am not looking at this situations correctly in my analysis of the situation? Any recommendations on how you would respond? I am think of a slight price decrease, but I am getting stuck in analysis paralysis on the proper action. Thank you all in advance.

@Jason Yahner I have not reached out to them, but that seems like an obvious first step. As for the price being too low, maybe, but the language used indicated a price too low. But it is a possibility. Thank you for the input.
