Thanks @Jenny Landis , I'm happy to be here. Something that's connecting with me now would be music [listening/singing( not that I'm any good)], it's one of the easiest ways I can express myself.

@Jenny Landis I don't really have a specific genre, I listen to almost anything, but a favourite of mine at the moment is "Too Much" by Dove Cameron. What about yourself, do you have a favourite genre/ song?
My first knit sweater and the lesson I learned
Some of you wanted to see the finished sweater, so here it is! I finished it on New Years Eve and have already had the chance to wear it.🧚🏼 I learned a lot in the process, but there is one thing I am particularly proud of - I didn't make it hard on myself. There was a part in the pattern where I could have done German Short Rows (they improve the fit around the neck), but as this was my first sweater I opted for the simple version and skipped the short rows. Normally I would be the one who does all the extra assignements and details, but this time I didn't want to overwhelm myself. I am really proud about that.🥰 I have already started my second sweater. Same pattern, but this time, I tried the short rows! It didn't feel overwhelming this time, because I already understood how a sweater is knit. I will also change colors to make stripes on this sweater. Takeaway - slow and steady keeps the joy and fun in the process💫 Doing everything at once will just add unnecessary stress!

Introduction♡
Hello everyone. It's nice to make your acquaintances. My name is Julisha and I enjoy reading, writing and watching true crime documentaries. I joined this community to connect with like-minded individuals and because @Jenny Landis has been super supportive, kind and of great assistance ever since I have first interacted with her.

@Jenny Landis That sounds lovely, thank you.
Do you have art-goals for the next year :)?
My goal is to invite my friends regularly over to my place, so we can create within community. The first meeting is happening next week! So excited for this ! So much better than just meeting for a beer at a bar.

My art-goal for the new year is to be less critical of my work and to embrace the process of creating instead of focusing and judging the end result and the ~mistakes~ I made while creating it.
