I’m making this post specifically for those who want to reply. I’m curious about a statistic: how many brands have you emailed for collaboration, how many have responded, and how many of those agreed to a paid collaboration? For example, I’ve emailed 101 brands so far, 11 responded, and none wanted to collaborate, mainly because they don’t need it at the moment. I’m curious if these proportions are similar for you as well.

I've been actually keeping track of this because I was also interested in the stats :D So far I have contacted 60 brands, 20 replied and rejected me, and 1 turned into a deal :D

@Diana-Maria Giura yeah it's definitely not for the weak haha, I've resorted to working mostly with apps as those are easy to do 🫠
UGC Isn’t What It Used to Be… Here’s How to Actually Stand Out in 2025
When I first started UGC, it was so much easier. There was less competition, and all you really had to do was stay consistent, sign up on platforms, and boom you were landing deals. But let’s be honest… UGC has changed. Now? The space is way more competitive. Just posting randomly and hoping brands will notice you isn’t enough anymore. So what actually makes the difference now? 🔥 The quality of your work. 🔥 That’s what makes brands pick you over the thousands of other creators pitching them. Here’s what you need to focus on in 2025: ✨ take your time to actually get good at what you do ✨ Creating scroll-stopping, high-quality content that brands need ✨ Finding your unique style so you stand out (not blend in) ✨ Treating UGC like a real skill instead of just another “side hustle” Yes, consistency matters. Signing up on platforms matters. pitching matters, but if your content isn’t high quality, none of that will save you. This is how you win in 2024. 💬 What’s ONE thing you’re working on to level up your content? ⬇️

@Nyomi Gootjes No 🤣 I didn't really prioritize it tbh, I've taken the time today to make an intro video and to properly optimize it, fingers crossed it will help! :)

@Gia Smith worst part is that if you don't respond to them (even though they're spam), your response rate goes down 🤣🥲
How much editing do you do?
Hey guys, I wanted to ask what's the "standard" amount of editing you do for paid work? Obvi there's putting the video together, but what about subtitles, adding graphics/music? I really hate doing all of these but just wondering what the industry standard is to see whether or not I should offer it as part of the deliverables :D

Thanks Zenia, I probably will offer it as extras then. The reason I asked was because a brand asked me to add some music to videos I made for them. I politely told them it wasn't part of the deliverables so just wanted to see what others do :)
How to Invoice Brands Abroad + Handle Payments Like a Pro 💸
Hey everyone! 👋 In the latest post, I shared a poll asking about your biggest UGC struggles, and a lot of you had questions about several topics and I wanted to dive in and start tackling them, one question at a time! In today’s video, I’m answering an amazing question from @Lian Brouwer :💭 “How does invoicing/payments work with foreign countries as a UGC Creator? Here’s what I covered: - How to handle international payments using tools like PayPal, Wise, and Stripe. - The importance of clear contracts (you can grab my free contract template in the UGC Strategy Guide!). - How to communicate transfer fees and ensure everything runs smoothly. I’ll continue addressing your questions and struggles, so if you have something you’d like me to cover, comment on my pinned post with your questions! Let’s make this series a place where we work through challenges together. I’m so excited to hear what’s on your mind and help you grow as UGC creators! Nyomi 💕

Thank you Nyomi, would love to hear what everyone's using. I'm probably gonna go for Stripe as it can embed into my invoices with the platform I use. Sucks about the fees though 🫠
