HOW TO NOT GET SCAMMED š„“š
i saw @Diana-Maria Giura and @Lenie Saplan ask about some sketchy emails they've been getting, and I wanted to take a moment to address it. Weāve all been thereāgetting an email that looks promising, but something doesnāt sit right. So, letās break it down and make sure you know how to spot a scam. šØ Itās a scam if: - They ask for upfront payment. No legit brand will ever ask you to pay them to work with you. - They offer crazy high numbers that just donāt add up. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. - The email is from a @gmail.com address instead of a professional domain like @brandname.com. ā ļø These are also red flags (but not always a scam): - The email feels generic, like they just copy-pasted it to 100 people. - They donāt use your name or social media handleādoesnāt show that they really know who you are. - they leave out important details, and your gut tells you somethingās off. Iāve dealt with scams in the past too, and trust meāitās part of the process. its how i lost ā¬160,- š« But donāt worry! I cover how to protect yourself from these situations more in depth in my UGC Strategy Guide, where there's a dedicated lesson all about spotting scams and avoiding them.
