Wireless rig for stage performance
I’ve been toying with the idea of buying a wireless set for my guitar. Any ideas on which one works best and is most reliable for small venues??? Are they or are the not worth the money?? I see some really cheap ones on Amazon.

Ive used the Line 6 Relay G10 since 2018 with no issues from it as of yet. Really good range, can walk 50' across the church sanctuary from the transmitter box easy with no cut out issue. That's covers more ground than any live venue stage length I've ever had to worry about lol

What's your guys favorite guitar brand and why? Mines schecter because I love that raw metal feel

@Billy T Scrapper same I've had a few acoustics through the years that weren't my favorite but weren't bad guitars by any means. I bought an Ibanez LP style 120QA a few years ago, played it through a store amp liked the feel, but thought this will be a bad buy. I'll play with a few weeks and sell it most likely. Got home plugged it to my board and 5-6 years later it's one of my favorite guitars I own. Never know I guess, some things just stick around lol

@Randy LaFrom Taylors are beautiful. I bought Guild acoustic as my first guitar around 20+ years ago not knowing much about them at all. It sold me on the company. Played a few since then, loved them all.

Active vs Passive
Curious as to pros and cons of active and passive pickups. Have owned both but not at the same time, currently running passive. I would assume the battery would give you a higher output? I'm sure there would be some tone change as well possibly? Just generally curious. Thanks

Pro vs amateur?
Would love to know how many of you are playing out - solo or in a band? Anyone here do open mic events? Or are you just practicing and playing for fun? Personally, I have sang in several bands, but have recently begun playing some originals (guitar and vox) at open mics.

Play as part of a worship group during church as one of the ways I've been blessed to serve the Lord, play for a separate Contemporary Christian band also that plays for money though so I do both I suppose

Electric VS Acoustic
What’s your go-to? I have all, but for writing use my acoustic. For performing, I use electric. Would love to hear your opinion.

@Gerald Christlieb know the feeling, wouldn't know what to do if I had a weeks notice to prepare for the upcoming week in advance. 2-3 days seems to be normal 😂

I flip back and forth often between my acoustic-electric and my electric depending on what I'm being asked to play
