Get crystal clear with your ONE Thing!
The Thought Bottleneck Ideas, tasks, loose ends, “I should do this next”… all bouncing around in your head. That mental noise is what creates overwhelm, not lack of capability. This week’s focus is about externalizing your thinking and letting AI help you decide not distract you. 🚨 The real problem this solves: Decision fatigue Starting new plans every week instead of finishing one Feeling busy but not moving the needle Carrying your entire business in your head (which kills clarity) 🧩 The simple system (but don’t confuse simple with shallow) Keep ONE living “Business Brain Dump” doc Ideas Tasks Frustrations Opportunities Half-baked thoughts You do zero organizing upfront You update it continuously instead of starting over every Monday The power move isn’t the doc. It’s how you use AI to extract leverage from it. 🤖 How to use AI properly (THIS WEEK) Don’t ask AI to “help” or “brainstorm.” Ask it to think strategically with constraints. Paste your brain dump into AI and use a prompt like this: You are a strategic operator focused on leverage, not activity. Based on this list: • Identify the one action that would create the highest downstream impact over the next 30 days • Explain why this is the leverage point • Identify what I should ignore, delay, or delete to protect focus • Break the chosen action into the smallest executable next step I can complete this week Assume I can only meaningfully move ONE priority forward. Important mindset shift!! AI is not here to replace your thinking. AI is here to: Reduce cognitive load Surface patterns you’re too close to see Force tradeoffs (which humans avoid) Clarity comes from choosing, not adding. ✅️ Weekly rule For the next 30 days: One main focus One measurable outcome Everything else is background noise Execution compounds. Scattered effort doesn’t. Let us know how this prompt went for you. Did you feel more organized after getting your brain dump in one cohesive place?

This! I'm excited to use your prompt to take my weekly brain dump (I literally have pages of 'To Do Lists' - one for every week for a long while back) and have AI help me strategize my next steps. I'm also very intrigued to have it find patterns I'm too close to see (how many of these lists have the same tasks and I'm reinventing the wheel every week?)

@Jen Peterson yes! it's also funny how easy it is to suggest for others to 'step back' or ask for another POV, but then we don't apply the advice to ourselves ... it's like the reason Authors have Editors - both roles are essential and you're not a 'bad' author when you get feedback to improve
Live Teaching Postponed and Check in!
Happy Friday! Patrick had a fire live teaching for you guys today! He had an unforseen thing come up this afternoon so hes planning to go live tomorrow Saturday Feb 7th in the evening! Hes going to be teaching about "future proofing" your business. All next week we will be dropping AI prompts and social media ideas to really drive this home. No worries if you can't make it on a weekend, just grab the replay and join us in the integration next week. For those of you that have been following the prompts for this week and focusing on your 1 thing, hows it going? 🟡 QUICK CHECK-IN Answer one (or all): 1️⃣ What did you actually work on this week? 2️⃣ What felt easier once you picked ONE focus? 3️⃣ Where are you still feeling unsure?

1. Got our website 'finished' and posted/live 2. Focus on 'closing loops' helped me avoid being distracted by unimportant (but easy-to-do) tasks 3. Well the website is going to be a BIG learning curve for me - there's an overwhelming amount of data and meta-data and sections and links and AHHHHH ... but I'm just doing a little each day (trying to use the 'one thing' mindset each day/time I commit effort to working on it
Organic vs paid growth
Jen, Brandon and I have had many conversation around this and its super fascinating to learn about the paid strategies for me as somebody who has focused so heavily on organic. What is organic? This would focus on items such as branding, social media, website, and invitation based strategy. Often times it takes longer with persistence and consistency. Paid strategies would be designed to drive traffic through ads, paid marketing, high end evideo and partnerships. I want to invite you to ask questions about what pertains to you. What have you tried, why are your hesitant to try what you haven't etc. Something to be mindful is that most people are quick to place marketing on the chopping.block when things are slow, but that's when marketing matters the most.

I know I've heard Patrick say many times before: anything works as long as you follow through on it. To that end, I definitely want to focus on the low-to-no-cost options of organic growth BEFORE investing money in anything. (If I'm not consistent and following through on the 'free' things, it's unlikely any monetary investment is going to spur me to action and/or generate any better results).
This Week’s Focus: Getting Out of “I’m Doing Everything” Mode
This week we’re zooming in on one thing: What actually matters right now in your business. No one feels stuck because they’re not trying hard enough. They feel stuck because everything feels important and heavy all at once. Progress starts when you decide what gets your focus first and commit to implementing it before adding more. By Friday, the goal is: • One priority you can stand behind • One way social media supports that • One place AI gives you time or breathing room back If you do one thing this week, make it this: Choose what you’re no longer carrying. Clarity comes first. Everything else gets easier with less noise. Comment what you are setting aside this week! We are going to give you the social media and AI pieces to help you meet the goal. Stay tuned! 👀

This week I'm going to work on closing my 'open loops' rather than starting new projects or goals that can wait.
Do the thing...
Do the dang thing you've been avoiding! I'm 6 days into making a content series and I thought I would report back on how it's going. First off, I regret making it 100 days ha. It's already been a huge challenge to make a video every single day and I can't imagine 94 more days. I guess that's why it's called a challenge. Second, I already feel my confidence going up each video. Lastly, it's been forcing me to be more creative and thoughtful about my video editing. I estimate that I've gotten about 15 new followers directly from the series so we shall see! I even filmed today's video in public at a coffee shop! *Cringe* So now I hand the baton to you. What are you doing to challenge yourself and build new skills in this season?

I'm long overdue for getting our website both up and running as well as functioning effectively to support our business. So I've got a deadline of end of this month to complete my task list (about 7 different 'sections' of work) and then I've set monthly check in time on my calendar to 'test' and 'revise' everything. Eventually I'll work in videos ... but one 'dang thing' at a time! LOL
