A hearty hello to you all! My name is Nathan, I just turned 27 and I'm just getting started on learning about the world of men's fashion. As someone with High Functioning Autism, I live life best by following clear rules that make sense, but Fashion doesn't have an instruction book. So I come today asking for advice on how to start dressing for who I want to be. Don't get me wrong, I have a few well tailored and professional suits already for when I'm where I want to be, but as someone in the heat of Tennessee, I can't be wearing full 3 piece suits with nowhere to be. I also feel past the point where daily tees and work pants reflect who I want to be. In short, I want the medium between. Classy yet comfortable, relaxed yet clean, Confident in a comfortable setting. So far, I've only found one outfit that really fits the bill. A simple, lightweight khaki tech pant, paired with a short sleeve white linen button down shirt. It's lightweight, feels classy, yet not over the top or showy. That simple outfit feels so good to wear, though, and I want that feeling every day. I'm tired of my wardrobe looking like a depressed teen's corner chair. I want to feel like I matter to myself, and that means working on making my casual wardrobe a cut above tees and jeans. I'm looking for advice, recommendations for pieces or brands that feel like they are in that sweet spot between, and inspiration for shopping. I'm not concerned too much with budget, but please keep in mind I live in a humid and temperate urban environment.
