Catching up…
I’ve missed you all and your beautiful cocktails. Georgi was out, I needed to step back to focus on something I’ve been working on as well… which leads me to my question: Does this make me look like I’m going to be a dad? First child due 10/18!! Cheers!

Further reading…
I have had a busy month, and am just getting caught back up. I’ve been trying to keep my jaw off the table when drooling over your drink posts, and thankful you guys are posting where you found it. One of my favorite things about to do when I’m not making cocktails is finding books about the craft. We’ve all seen and probably had stacks of the “10,001 cocktail recipes” books, but I want to know what you guys are reading. @Georgi Petrov has a pretty comprehensive selection on his Amazon storefront, just waiting for him to publish!! My collection consists of: Cocktail codex Death & Co Welcome Home Dave Arnold’s Liquid Intelligence Last Call - Brad Thomas Parsons (excellent book!) Amaro- Brad Thomas Parsons Bitters- Brad Thomas Parsons Steve the bartender’s cocktail guide Bar book- Jeremy morganthaler Shrubs: An Old-Fashioned Drink for Modern Times- Michael Diestch Flavor bible- Karen page and Andrew dornenburg (Not directly cocktail but a guide to culinary tasting and an index of flavor affinities)

I really like the literature on the outside of cocktail craft. I feel like it adds another disciple that elevate my skill. Thank you for your suggestions!

NEW CATEGORIES
An excellent suggestion from @Caleb Parks to create new categories and keep you organised. As requested, they are ready for you. Cocktail Find - Share recipes you find online, in books or anywhere. Signature & Riffs - Share only your recipes and riffs. Collaborate - collaborate with other members on ingredients, recipes and projects.

Sorry for not being active.
Hi, gang. I'm sorry for not being active. If you follow my YouTube channels, you may have noticed that I haven't uploaded anything recently. The truth is I haven't been well for the past few weeks. I am working as I need to support my family, but I am overexposed, and most of the time, I sleep when I am not at work. I'm not sure what's going on, but I am slowly picking up and recovering. I will take one more week away from everything and see you soon. Please stay safe and look after yourself, as health is all we need to achieve everything else. Love you all. 🧡

My big boy job is a firefighter/paramedic, and after a decade at that I’ve learned on thing: rest is paramount to your pillars of health. That covers more than just immune health, but mental, emotional, and physical health as well. Without all of them, you can’t be at your best! Working service is no different, especially because we work the times everyone else wants to play, and that’s usually late nights, weekends and holidays. That really takes a unique toll on all four pillars. You do so much for this community, you’ve created a space for us to workshop ideas, build our confidence, and connect with people with the same passions. Taking a break isn’t a weakness or anything to be sorry for. It should be encouragement for all of us to take a step back and realize we are human, and you are leading by example. Thanks for all you do! I hope you are feeling your best soon!
I was Serious
Hey, community. As I mentioned on a few occasions, I will be cleaning up the Inactive members. I guess they didn't see the post, as most hadn't been active for over 150 days. We had 110 members, and now we are down to 80. I will continue cleaning up. The next stage is the member who hasn't been active for 60 days. I have removed my brother and a few of my bartenders who work in the bar I manage as they weren't active. So, you see, I am serious. I would rather have 20 active members than 100 spectators. Nothing personal. Only trying to keep the community healthy and active. 🤣
