🤝 Why do people attend events?
We're hosting onboarding calls for our event in 2 weeks Talking to a lot of business owners and entrepreneurs Some doing 40k/mo, 80k/mo, some even 250k/mo+ All of them paid $5,000+ to attend a 2 day workshop event They work in many different fields, industries, niches They run big teams, lean teams, operate solo or as co-founders All of them are taking time out of their busy schedule to fly to Florida, grab a hotel room, and join us Why?? I've narrowed it down to two simple reasons 1️⃣ Connection ➕ 2️⃣ Value It seems stupid simple, but it's true for pretty much every event we run People take time out of their busy lives to meet people others like them Similar stories, struggles, competencies, or radically different competencies that they can learn from These connections create value for attendees And of course, value is also created by event sessions, speakers, exercises, and experiences So the next time you are hosting an event and want people to show up... Design the event to make sure you are allowing for connections that mean something, and value that changes something (no fluff!)

Great tips. Thank you.
⚙️ Marketing Machine
Anyone grab the Hormozi $100M money models offer? $6,000 is a pretty penny, but those playbooks are pretty awesome. In the "marketing machine" playbook, he spends 5 pages talking about the value of in-person events for MARKETING Events are incredible at so many things, and the god of info businesses/coaching said IRL events are a must for any community/coaching biz. Here's the excerpt from the playbook: 🔥 If you’re an in-person business you have an insane advantage over virtual or remote businesses. Every day is an in-person event. But if you are virtual, then you need to be strategic about capturing moments from events. And by the way, if you’re not already doing events at least 1-2x per year…I suggest doing them. They give you great marketing assets. I didn’t even sell anything at Gym Launch events. I just provided value. But, I did document as much of each event as I could so that I could use that media in my advertisements. Since the events cost a fortune, and I didn’t sell anything, that media was the only way I could get returns! So I had to get pretty good at squeezing every last drop of marketing power from every event. 🔥 The ONLY thing me and @Andy Monroe disagree with is that IRL events don't HAVE to "cost a fortune" 😹 You can host an incredibly valuable event for next to nothing (we spent less than $1000 on most of the Skool IRLs) Anyways, Hormozi then proceeds to give the exact playbook for capturing media at events. Here's the quick version - Stage Ads: using the event as a way to create content, ads, or anything else with your audience, live & in person. (group photos, attendees networking together, you talking with your audience, training) - Testimonials: getting your clients to share their experiences with you, your offer, your community, etc. These can be done off to the side, in a private breakout room, or a hotel room! - "Man on the street": go collect sound bites of your attendees and prompt quick pieces of feedback by asking simple questions like "how's the event?" and "is this valuable or what??"

This is great
Where have you seen joy work best in real life?
IRL joy builds trust faster than content ever will. Shared experiences create belonging, momentum, and loyalty. What kinds of in-person moments have moved your community forward the most? Workshops. Walks. Dinners. Service projects. Joy isn’t extra. It’s the strategy.

Absolutely
how to get started hosting IRL events (for high-ticket coaches & community owners)
What's up ya'll! Happy Friday :) Got a good video for you guys today At Bullish Events, @Ethan Simons and I take a lot of calls with people wanting to host IRL events for their coaching business or community Sometimes will run into someone that is already hosting events and just wants to scale, but most of the time the people we talk to are looking to get started with hosting in-person events for their high-ticket coaching business or community They see how powerful IRL (in real life) events are. They see what they can do for branding, authority, building community, positioning, increasing LTV, and generating revenue They see the end result, but they don't see the path to get there... Questions we often hear are: "How do I actually design a good event?" "How do I get people to show up?" "What type of event should I do?" "How much should I charge for my event?" "How will I find the time to make this happen? I'm a busy founder with dozens of other things to do" And these are all super valid questions. The same questions we would ask ourselves when we first got started So, with all that being said, I just filmed a video where I walk through exactly how you can get started with hosting in-person events for your high-ticket coaching business or community :) Please drop any questions you have down below👇
