Match Scenario Friday 😀
Lets go for a new match scenario, if you guys think its boring just say and ill stop 😊 Game: The Score is 11-11 Both Teams have 2boules left, its the shooter in the opponents team that got the 2 boules in hand. He/she have had i high hitRate in this game. The opponent have the closest boule, 60cm from jack and your team have the second at 100cm ftån jack. How do you play! A: Point 2 times and hope for a miss or hope he doesn’t hit a carreaue? B: Shoot the Jack, guessing his good hitRate is to hard to ignore. C: Shoot 2 times and let him have 1 point. Or maby you have a other solution? 😎 Happy Friday everyone!

Depending on who is left to play, personally point first (as I'm better at pointing) especially if the opposition's two balls include a shooter who is having a bad game, adds to the pressure.
It’s time to go ALL IN
Tomorrow I give my notice to my employer and landlord. I’m off to live and play in Aigne near Carcassonne. I’ll be filming regularly and offering French Boule breaks when I’ve sorted everything. It’s time to make my coaching a priority and to unleash myself on the French Petanque scene and document the entire process. You heard it here first

That shows commitment, hope all goes well Kevin
Pool competition nerves
Weird situation today. I’m in my first pool competition for 35 years after not playing for 33 years. It’s not huge but I’m actually experiencing nerves and a slight fear of the table. In normal circumstances I’m straight up, smashing balls into the pocket and don’t lose many matches. But on a tough, fast unknown table against unknown opponents where I can’t be my flamboyant self I’ve allowed the nerves and doubt to kick in. So I won the first round and waiting and working on my head and let the flow commence. It’s quite a good feeling but an annoying one as I thought with my knowledge I wouldn’t have this. Just shows how the mind can play funny tricks on you whatever game you play.

Hope all goes well Kevin. Being able to cut out the noise, both literal and in your brain is key. Playing against a better ranked team on Wednesday night, I had to shoot out the coche to keep us in the game. I managed to focus completely and achieve that objective - still got beaten in the following end!.

Congratulations Kevin
Just for fun… A Match scenario!
Lets say its a tight match, score is 11-12. You are the only one standing with one boule left. The opponent have the point in this round but it is like 1,5m from the jack. And you have the 2nd and 3rd boule. So shoot to win or point safe and play a new round at 12-12? Wich will you choose and why? Does it matter to you if its 6,8 or 10 meters? Happy friday all!

I'd point and have control of the coche for the final end

@Kevin ORourke It was a bit tongue in cheek. I'm happy enough with the set I have, they seem to perform quite well for me playing in Kent Petanque League fixtures. My only concern was whether I should move down to 72s. As a left hander, I find that long distance shots 9-10M sometimes result in the boule landing wide of the mark to the left as though it's slipped from my hand.
