Hi, can anyone help, I need to be able to edit this model in solidworks, all I want to really do is thicken it by about 10mm I have the file as a step and also an stl, but when I try do anything it’s all in facets and each one becomes a surface. I managed to offset the front and back faces 5mm each but then I couldn’t figure out how to join them I’ve included the file for reference. I’d like to basically clean it up, smoothen it and ideally the faces to be singular surfaces so when I 3D print its a nice finish

I’ve spent hours trying to figure this out. I started with the part I wanted to cut a spiral shape into. So here’s what I did Top plane - made a square and dimensioned it Extruded it Drew a circle onto that solid body, then used the helix / spiral tool to make that circle into a spiral. I couldn’t just extrude cut that shape, so tried using the swept boss tool, And to do that I then created a profile drawing on the front plane of the size of the swept boss. Clicked on the profile shape then the spiral as the path, came up with rebuild error and wouldn’t preview. Driving me mad!

Hello, me again! I’m trying to make a tambour door ride in a track I’ve extruded. Please see video trying to explain I want the door (it’s lots of seperate peices ) ride in the track and go around the curves.
