Achy Joints and Muscles
This is my latest blog on the topic of achy joints and muscles. What are your favorites for dealing with this issue?

In my practice as a Chiropractor, my practice members oftentimes had improved joint and muscle relief, not because I "treated" their symptoms, but rather corrected for nerve interference in the body (the purpose of Chiropractic). It's typically a nutrient deficiency or a viscera-somatic problem (dysfunction from an organ manifesting in a structural symptom) if it's chronic and can be remedied with clinical nutrition. If it's an acute injury then it can also be mediated with clinical nutrition and chiropractic. 💪

I recommend professional lines of whole food and herbal supplements (Standard Process and Medi Herb), which I offer to clients. Everyone is different. In practice I used Nutrition Response Testing to determine what the body needs and tested for the most common barriers to healing using homeopathic testing kits (immune, metals, chemicals and foods).
Amy's Crispy Zucchini Pizzas
This easy recipe is a family favorite, perfect for making crispy, low-carb mini pizzas using fresh zucchini slices as the base. This is an excellent way to use those zucchini boats from the garden or farmer’s market. It’s great for feeding a crowd, especially with two hungry teens! Here’s how to make it: Ingredients: - 3 large zucchinis, thinly sliced - Olive oil or MCT oil (for greasing trays) - Jim’s Homemade Pizza Sauce (use the level 3 version) - Chicken or beef sausage (precooked, sliced or crumbled) - Veggies of your choice (mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, etc.) - Shredded mozzarella cheese - Salt, oregano, and garlic powder (to taste) Instructions: 1. Prepare the baking trays: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line three large cookie sheets with parchment paper, then lightly grease the paper with olive oil or MCT oil to prevent sticking. 2. Slice the zucchini: Slice your zucchinis thinly, about ¼ inch thick. Lay the slices close together on the cookie sheets, ensuring there’s minimal space between each. 3. Add the toppings: Spread a small amount of Jim’s pizza sauce onto each zucchini slice. Add your choice of chicken or beef sausage and any veggies you prefer on top of the sauce. Sprinkle each mini pizza with a generous amount of mozzarella cheese. 4. Season: Sprinkle salt, oregano, and garlic powder over the pizzas for added flavor. 5. Bake: Place the trays in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the zucchini edges are crispy. 6. Broil: Carefully monitor as you place each tray for 4 min under the broiler to make the cheese extra crispy.  7. Serve: Let the pizzas cool for a minute, then serve hot. These crispy zucchini pizzas make a great main dish or snack for the whole family!  I normally just use this as the full meal because we have lots of veg and protein.  Enjoy your healthy, tasty pizzas!

Yum!
Artificial Food Dyes
Heather sent me this slide to share. I know we are all aware we need to be so vigilant about our food ingredients. That’s why I prefer homemade food because I know what is in the products. The manufacturers are getting sneakier.

@Amy Rickman Regular Chiropractic visits are key in order to help balance the nervous system (more frequent at the start to make up for lost function and a likely traumatic birth). Second to that is clinical nutrition (in-office or virtual) and diet. Then I would inquire about environmental toxins and check for nutrient deficiencies, food sensitivities and heavy metals. All parts of my virtual practice now. EAT WHOLE FOODS! 🥩🍗🥦🥕🍓🍏🍉🍇 NO CARBS, SUGARS & FAST FOOD! 🍔🍟🌭🍕🍩🍪🍦🎂🍧🍫

@Amy Rickman I use clinical nutrition with my clients to help reverse their chronic health challenges. This is what I help people with in my (now) virtual practice.
