where are your books at?
its been a few days now that i see basically no viable options to review on paid promotions anymore besides a few spanish books i cannot read. where are your books people?

not really interested in unverified or KU promos tbh
Other price options for verified reviews
Right now verified paid reviews are available for 0.99 and 2.99. I was wondering if there were plans to extend this to 1.99 (and even higher priced) books in the future?

@Adriano Ferrigno when this happens, whats gonna be required to be able to post such a promotion? do i have to save up on the monetary side before to make sure im in the green? or will each author get one paperback promo for free? this must surely somehow fit into the economy. once that option is out, it will for SURE be the preferred way for many of us i reckon
Timetable for new options?
i just wanted to ask in a thread exactly for this if there is something like a rough timetable on when you plan to push out new functionality we read about things like different pricepoints, the website itself teases an option to space out reviews automatically and Adriano even mentioned the option to offer print promotions down the line (which has just dropped on another review site appearently) and maybe info on what else is in the pipeline for the future? maybe this helps to collect all those infos in one place rather than replying to a thing in this thread and another in that thread

📢 BookVillage Review Stability Update – May 12
Every single day that passes, we are accumulating more and more data about how Amazon’s moderation systems are behaving after the recent updates introduced around April 2026. Some of you may have already noticed that assignment and promotion verifications are currently taking longer than usual before moving from “Completed” to “Verified.” This is intentional. We decided to make an extra effort and gradually contact our users one by one to verify whether their Amazon accounts are actually being used in a healthy and sustainable way. It’s important to clarify something: Until March 2026, virtually everything we recommended was working extremely well. The problem is that starting from April, after analyzing the enormous amount of internal data we have inside BookVillage, a very clear pattern emerged. Some types of Amazon accounts that previously behaved perfectly fine are now suddenly experiencing much higher moderation and review removal rates. We are specifically talking about accounts created mainly to post ebook reviews on a marketplace different from the one where the user normally makes physical purchases. For example: A user lives and shops physically on one Amazon marketplace, but creates or uses another marketplace almost exclusively for ebook reviewing activity. Even when these users behaved correctly: • not posting too many reviews per week • using mostly verified purchase reviews • spacing reviews reasonably well Amazon now appears to tolerate these account structures much less than before. Because of this, these types of accounts will no longer pass our new verification standards inside BookVillage. Amazon accounts must now show real and natural purchasing behavior. And as already mentioned in previous updates, another major factor appears to be review speed. Both on the reviewer side and on the author side, when more than one review happens within roughly a 36-hour timeframe, the probability of moderation appears to increase significantly. This is exactly why we continue insisting on naturally spacing reviews over time.

i asked rufus and got this as a response This is actually a known issue with Amazon's verification system for low-priced digital content. The key detail here is that €0.99 and €2.99 prices often trigger Amazon's verification filters, even when they're legitimate list prices. Why This Happens: • Amazon's system flags heavily discounted prices (even when they're the actual retail price) as potentially not "available to most Amazon shoppers" • Low-priced ebooks, especially under €3, frequently fall into this category • The system treats these as promotional pricing, even when they're the publisher's standard price This Affects: • Most ebooks priced under €3 • Books in certain promotional categories • Self-published titles with lower price points Unfortunately: • This is a system limitation, not something you can fix on your end • Your reviews are still legitimate and appear on your profile • The verification status doesn't affect the quality or validity of your reviews Many Kindle reviewers experience this same issue with low-priced ebooks. While frustrating, your reviews remain valuable to other customers even without the verification badge.
Why giving 4 stars with no constructive feedback?
Hi all. I've been noticing a trend most recently where authors leave a 4-star review on my book but without offering real constructive feedback. All of the ones on my case are from UK. It' very frustrating because I don't have anything to do to improve my book and my listing gets hurt. What are the motivations from people to do that?

@Rodrigo Narciso there are people who only give 5 stars for perfection and as kothing is perfect 4* is the best they give weird mindset, but i know a few of those myself ive given a few 4* myself but i always point out what i think could be better, so i understand your frustration. i for one would he happy about a 3* with some meaty feedback myself😅
