Soil sample
This experiment is amazing. Now we know. I went out to get this sample yesterday before all the snow we got today, so glad I did 😂 Thanks Dennis

@Dennis Wichter yes lol
It's ok. It's normal.
Nature always gets a boat especially when it comes to gardening. Even if we plant at the right time and the right variety if temperatures fluctuate, our plants might not grow. Here in Vegas we're having a heatwave right now. Therefore, things like kale, lettuce, brussel sprouts, even some of our onions and garlic are bolting, so there won't be any of those this season.
It's ok. It's normal.

Refreshing garden soil
my soil in some of my tubs for the garden is really heavy like clay , what can I add to make it fluffy ? Cocoa blocks ? I’ve tried leaves 🍃 still needs something else

@Dennis Wichter wow thanks so much Dennis this really helps me. The soil isn’t quite unthawed yet but when it is I’ll take this test. I always thought perlite, peat was not good for the natural soil. I did get a bag of worm castings (not sure how to use that ) … I will test the soil first though. Thanks again for the module

@Betsy Moll thanks for letting me know about the worm castings. Thought I’d try them this year

Do you think there are any ladybugs out there who are like, “I’m aphid intolerant. What else do you have?”

Compost Tumbler Test Project
I have never had good luck with tumblers but I got one from @Dominic Foster (thank you) and I am going to give it another go. Utilizing out composting guidelines from the composting material in the classroom of course. Tumbler: https://www.homedepot.com/p/FCMP-Outdoor-Tumbling-Composter-with-Two-Chambers-for-Efficient-Batch-Composting-IM-4000/202672114 Ratio: 4C - 3N - .5HN Goal: Create a thermophilic composting within 21 days using a small tumbler. - >131°F within the first few days - Turn/tumble 3-5 times and after each turn hit 131°F - Check biology after compost hits ambient temperatures. - Check biology monthly during maturation.
