Taiwanese street food
They are quite different from Western snacks, but delicious to Chinese people. The price is also very reasonable. However, the intake of salt and sugar tends to be excessive.🤣

Dog days of summer
The wife has informed me that we are entering the 40 days of hot weather! 🤥 Clear blue skies and blistering heat, thank god we have AC.

@Darren Windsor-Horton Yes. I have an electric fan and prepared some ice cubes for very hot days.
Mouth movement vs listening
A study showed that people learn a language through the sensory processing rather than the movements of face and mouth. It is a little surprising because many English teachers teach me to pay attention to my mouth movements for good pronunciation. But according to this study, listening seems to be more important. What do you think about this? Controlling my mouth movements is hard for me because I only make slight movements when speaking my native language. I am not used to making large mouth movements when I speak. This relieved my worries a bit.

@Darren Windsor-Horton Thank you. First, I agree with you that how to listen and watching mouth and tongues are helpful to learn English. And it really works. But, actually, our Chinese, at least me, are not learning pronunciation by watching mouth and tongues. The four tones in Chinese are pronounced through vocal cord. I can keep my mouth and lips still and pronounce four tones. In fact, I donot why I can do this.🤣 But I didnot remember someone teach me mouth movements when I was young. That is why I feel move my mouth difficult. And I can speak Japanese. I did not study specific mouth movements for Japanese. But there might be some Japanese pronunciations that require mouth movements. I am not sure that.

@Evelyne Vincent "getting more and more a little bit deaf" is a thing that requires attention. I might be meddling, but you should consult a doctor. It is a more dangerous signal than most people thought.

Do you have honey? Brushing beef with honey while roasting it makes it incredibly delicious.

my favorite food is congee. there are many different types of congees what I like is rice porridge with century egg, spinach ,chicken breast . growing up,my mom would make this for breakfast some days, and she would make it for me when I was sick, but at that accasion I prefer it plain without anything except rice.

My mother also likes congee. She is born up north. So, she likes to add numerous beans and grain, red dates, chestnuts, peanuts, and etc. I like black congee with coix seed, black rice and black beans, and yellow congee with pumpkin and millet.
