I had forgotten about this section of the platform, but now I'll be keeping an eye on all the drills and updates so I can continue uploading content. I couldn't apply all the suggestions to this drill, but I still wanted to show some of the work and get your opinion, please.. @Richie 'Abstrak' Soto

What does MOVEMENT mean to YOU?
What I’ve been sharing lately is super basic—classical foundation. And I’m going to keep sharing more of it. At some point I’ll move into the more intricate movement, but I’m not rushing that. Because the deeper I go, the more I’m reminded of something… Movement isn’t just “levels.” Beginner. Novice. Advanced. Honestly, even the advanced stuff can be picked up by a beginner depending on how they feel the movement. What matters… is movement itself. And I say that because there was a time when I couldn’t move. I had a torn rotator cuff … and to be real, I still deal with it today. It’s manageable now, but years ago it was bad. I could hardly do anything. And when your body stops moving, your mind starts slipping. Discouragement. Worthlessness. Depression. All of that creeps in. So when I teach, when I share these drills, when I see you all practicing… I don’t take it lightly. Movement is a gift. Movement is expression. Movement is life. I appreciate every single one of you in here — all levels, all backgrounds … showing up… More is coming. And everything will eventually be categorized for clarity (Beginner / Advanced). But the real question underneath all of this is: What does movement mean to you? Comment below. I’d love to hear it. 🙏🏼

Wow I think your thoughts are so profound and brilliant once again, boss. You've largely reflected my reality and feelings in that text, because right now I have a problem with my knee that was even more serious some time ago, reaching a point where even walking hurt. Now I'm trying to heal, although sometimes despair overwhelms me because I want to be 100% for breaking. Anyway, I'm doing what I can because, among so many things, movement is also health. Personally, I think that movement is life in its deepest expression; movement is a sign of dynamism, continuity, development, and even, in a way, stillness in motion. Being able to move freely is a blessing for me that I appreciate every day, despite this small injury that I'm currently dealing with… 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼✨

In my opinion, I think the most important thing to start with in breaking is that you enjoy it, that is, that the student comes to the teacher with the desire to learn, to explore, etc. I don't have much experience as a teacher, lol, but I would also add that it's important to start with the basic steps, as they would be the easiest to learn and perhaps help create a connection… 🙌🏻✨
Happy Holidays!
Some may celebrate, some may not. In my younger days I had very strong opinions about holidays... where they came from, what they meant, all of it. My own research guided what I chose to celebrate and what I didn’t. But with time, life, and fatherhood, my perspective changed. With all that said, I hope you have a blessed rest of the year. We’re not done yet!
