We have probably talking or thought about this many times. As people get older and injuries limit movement. What’s one move or combo… you would choose to have but NEVER lose?
Picture a clock. You’re facing 12 o’clock — forward. But instead of moving where your eyes are looking…you launch yourself toward 7 o’clock — behind you…blind. No Glancing, No looking… Just trust in your body. Hands catch. Legs wind. Momentum takes over. Direction becomes instinct. Like a smooth crash…an intentional fall. Controlled. Fluid. A fall with style. This reminds me of Ken Swift … how he understood movement in directions…like a compass…like a clock. Exploring unfamiliar directions. The Body Falling… Beautifully. Question: When did you first start trusting yourself enough to throw your body into the unknown? What did it teach you?
** I apologize if this is a bit heavy ** Now the loss I speak of is .. Life of a loved one. In Loss… it’s either a wake up call or a shift of perspective. This space … is intended to go beyond the cipher. Movement is just something we can relate to… When we are young in the Breakin’ game… we are distracted by the culture and the movement… I want to achieve a level of dopeness or respect. On the outside of that … is reality. What we experience as a human. At times to Break can be our getaway. But we can’t outrun what we can’t control. Injuries Getting old And Loss I pray you all gain the strength and preparedness you need in order to face those things. You are not alone and if it wasn’t for having Hope in the after life … I would truly go insane 😅. God Bless you all. Hope to connect more in the coming months 🙏🏼
