🍚 My Rice Hack That Keeps Me on Track
One of the questions I get is, “How do you still eat rice while staying within your calories?” Here’s one of my favorite meal-prep hacks. 🥢 I mix Konjac Rice + Aromatic Purple Rice. It gives me the satisfaction of eating rice while significantly lowering the calories compared to a full serving of regular rice. For me, it’s about making small swaps that I can stick with long term and not cutting out the foods I enjoy. My recipe: • 252g Konjac Rice • 60g Aromatic Purple Rice Cook it together in the rice cooker. And for the water… I measure it the only way my Asian family ever taught me… 👉 Halfway up my index finger. 😂 Don’t ask why it works. Don’t question the finger. Just trust generations of Asian aunties. 🤣 This recipe makes 7 meal-prep portions at about 51 calories each (before adding your protein and veggies). One thing I’ve been doing lately that’s been a game changer: when I go to Asian restaurants, I pack one of these rice portions and bring it with me in an insulated container. Then I order my favorite lean proteins and veggies at the restaurant and enjoy them with my own rice. It helps me enjoy meals out with family and friends while staying aligned with my nutrition goals. No feeling deprived, no stress and just a little planning ahead. Sometimes consistency isn’t about having more willpower. It’s about creating simple systems that make healthy choices easier. Question: What’s one food swap or meal-prep hack that’s helped you stay consistent? 🍚💜

I've been reading up on Buddhism a lot lately...
And I recently came across a Buddhist story that's over 2,500 years old. A king couldn't control his habit of overeating rice. The Buddha didn't put him on a diet. He didn't shame him. He didn't tell him to use more willpower. Instead, he gave him a simple phrase to repeat before every meal. That tiny interruption changed the king's life. The more I thought about it, the more I realized: This isn't really a story about rice. It's about why most people fail to change. We try to rely on motivation. We create extreme rules. We think we need more discipline. But lasting change often comes from something much smaller: A pause. A reminder. A moment of awareness before the habit takes over. I made a short video breaking down the story and how it connects to modern habit psychology and sustainable fat loss. Comment RICE below and I'll DM it to you.

Did another hard thing 😌 #Hyrox Bangkok
Pro Doubles. 1hr 8 minutes! I’m a little addicted now. Feels good to be slightly above average in the Pro division 😤😤😤 But the best part was my daughter watching dad go through all the shit and the voluntary suffering! Onto the next hard thing!
