Nutrition Got A Little Easier!
One of the biggest hurdles with nutrition can be tracking food. There are times I don't feel like it or am in a rush. Well. I've got news for you! Cronometer just got better! If you want to streamline tracking, give the new photo logging a try. It's in beta right now. Seems to be pretty accurate though with finding the food items. I tweaked the servings a little after it analyzed the image. Only hiccup was it claimed thw Taco sauce was barbecue. Having trouble or questions? Let us know!

All of these are great options that I would not have necessarily asked for on my own. I appreciate the coaches providing extra tips and tricks that make gaining & maintaining muscle and reducing fat possible.
Monday Mood
Food, fitness, and healthy habits all sound simple. We know what to do—eat better, move more, sleep enough. But doing it? That’s the hard part. Many people think they need more motivation. But really, what most people need is consistency and discipline. Motivation is how we feel about doing something. Discipline is doing it even when we don’t feel like it. And guess what? Our feelings—or mood—change all the time. When we’re happy, we might feel like working out or cooking a good meal. But when we’re sad, tired, angry, or stressed, we might skip workouts, grab fast food, or eat snacks we don’t really need. This is called stress eating. This doesn’t mean we’re lazy or weak. It just means our emotions can get in the way. That’s why it helps to notice how we feel before we eat or make a health choice. Good moods can help us stay on track. Bad moods can throw us off. But the more we practice doing the right things, even when we don’t feel like it, the stronger our habits become. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to keep showing up—one day at a time. 🧠 Your Turn! What’s one mood that helps you stay on track with your health habits? What’s one mood that makes it harder? Drop your answers in the comments below! Let’s talk about it. 👇

Feeling good and on top of things is the mood where it is easiest to feel like making something for dinner or being creative with a meal. Survival mode (overwhelmed, tired, stressed) means I just need to grab the ingredients that I know work and then eat them. No thinking, just eating. It's best if Ryan just makes dinner. 😄
Food Freedom?
We often time hear about food noise… sees oils, this diet, that diet, eat this, eat that, stay away from this that and the other. We want to know what “Food Freedom” means to you? For me: being able to eat what I want, when I want, while knowing what it’s going to do for me, how I can counteract it and making sure that if I stick to a few principles that work for me, I can essentially have my cake and eat it too.

For me, food freedom would be: Being to easily decide what the best choice is in a given situation. I want food that will fuel my day, not make me sleepy or cause other problems. I don't want to overthink it or have decision fatigue.
STRATEGIC BREAKS!!
WOOO!!! We are back! We took a little strategic break last week to see how everyone would fair without specific prompts. We do these for a few reasons: 1) We want to see what sticks. What did we do well, what did we not have to think about doing health wise, what has become a habit? 2) We want to see what HASN’T stuck, at least not yet. What did we not do well on without a prompt? What did we let slip? How important to us is that we do some of these small things everyday? 3) Just like you need a break from work sometimes you need a break from the mental part of working out and always grinding those pounds off or worrying about how specifically your food is being tracked. A lot of us are used to falling off the train because, well, we are human, the real question is how quickly can you get back on track. SO…. with all the being said, what went well last week, what didn’t go so well and what are you doing this week to get back on the train? For Me: I was pretty conscious of what I was eating/drinking when I was eating out, I tried to get my steps in and be mindful of how my body felt both mentally and physically, as stress was decently high last week. On the downside, I found that I was chronically under eating which led to energy/mood issues, and the lack of workouts made my body feel a bit anxious. So this week I am committing to getting in a few strength sessions to help plan out the next block, make sure that I have breakfast prepped. And try to get on my Therapists schedule to talk through some of the stressful things happening in life. Drop your thoughts below!!

I missed these posts, reminders & encouragement. I started tracking my food and that is going OK. I want to get used to what the portion sizes look like so I can more quickly and accurately make a healthier meal. I am doing well with consistently packing lunches, drinking water and taking my supplements.
