Share a short practice clip for feedback
Want feedback on something you're working on? Drop a 30–60 second clip below. This isn’t about being perfect — it’s about being real. Show us your progress, your phrasing, your tone, or your composition ideas. Tell us what you’re looking for: – Expression feedback? – Technique breakdown? – Just want to be heard? I’ll reply to a few when I can — and I encourage others in the community to lift each other up too.

@Cliff Jones any feedback?

@Cliff Jones You caught me at the right moment to write a longer response. First thanks for the positivity. 🔥 Since I have been a bit secluded the last few decades in simply playing at home, I don't know what I don't know. 😋 I have at least 100 various things recorded lying around. For example, I challenged myself to record something every day for the month of May back in 2020 (you remember that year right?), and put them on Instagram for my 7 followers (family). They seemed to like them then. I haven't organized them very well. Skool gave me an excuse to come back to this. I tried once editing a few of the shorter ones into a continuous piece. It would be fun to zoom with you sometime and discuss what I don't know. I'm traveling in Europe this week, so it would have to be over a weekend or some other week. Best wishes!

Hi. I simply play for fun. Once upon a time I played in bands. Life came along and I kept piano on the back burner. As the world around us changes, I keep coming back to it. Music gives me peace. I like guitar too, but feel more freedom on the piano. As an intro, I am a husband, father, inventor, scientist, professor, amateur pianist, pilot, explorer, and so on. Happy to meet you here.
Upcoming Live Masterclass
Hey Family! This coming Wednesday at 1pm EST via Twitch I will be doing a Live Masterclass breaking down piano pieces using my COPET method. (Composer Oriented Piano Expression and Technique Method. Below I want you to take the poll and choose the piece you want me to break down. I will be putting the link to the Masterclass in the calendar section of the community.

What would help me is a reminder of which is which. I can look them up, but a link would be nice. If I beat someone else to it, I will put a link here. Then vote.
3 DAYS AWAY FROM THE FIRST LIVE Q&A
Hey Family! We are 3 days away from the first live Q&A with me taking place August 27th 1PM EST via zoom. To give you some insight on how the Q&A will work: The first thing I want yall to do, is to post your questions in the “Ask Cliff” thread so that I can really give you the answers you’re looking for. Secondly, because this is going to be on zoom, I won’t be able to play example during the live call due to the sound quality. Zoom isn’t really meant for live instrument playing. With that being said, I am currently testing out other platforms that will remedy this issue. However, you can still ask me piano related questions, and I will answer them to the best of my ability. I am really looking forward to meeting you all!!!!

@Cliff Jones , there is a special setting in zoom to allow instruments to pass through the mic. It is under audio settings. It turns off all the filters. I tested it a few times. Let me know if you have other questions.
