“Be The PIANIST, not a PIANO PLAYER”
Family! This is something you will hear me say a lot in our community. Let me explain the difference: The piano player, he or she can play whatever they want, but when you listen to them, there is no STORY, there is no substance behind what they’re playing. There is no emotion. It’s like going to a 5 star restaurant and the food is presented nicely but doesn’t taste good. 🤢 The PIANIST: He or she has all of the abilities to play whatever they want but you feel an emotional tie to them through their playing. You’re able to understand the STORY they are creating by the way they shape the melodic lines. Always strive to be the pianist. Enjoy the day, and don’t forget to explore the Skool. Introduce yourself, interact with one another, check out the classrooms! Enjoy!
