The Question Beneath the Question
I keep asking myself the same question. 'What should I do next?' I've received some of the best advice from new Skooler friends and all I have to do is follow it step by step. Yet what I'm discovering is most clarity issues aren’t about what to do. They’re about why you’re hesitating. When you slow down, the real question surfaces and if you’re brave the answer is just stop looking for the perfect answers! What question is hiding underneath the one you keep asking?

Good question! 🤔
The Quiet Weight of Expectations
I've always had high expectations for myself. As young as 10 I found myself the 'man of the family' after my father's unexpected passing. In all of my career choices I've gone for roles with high expectations. Now as I once again recalibrate myself to be a community owner it just feels like confusion or is it actually expectation overload showing up as... - Comparing myself with other Skoolers. - Overthinking what my community members need. - Even comparing me now to past versions of myself. Clarity came when I separated past expectations from my calling. Whose expectations are you still carrying?

Excellent question! I carry high expectations from my parents, for sure, but I put more pressure on myself than anyone else does!
Resolutions or Derterminations?
The preacher started her sermon today telling us to stop wasting time making New Year's resolutions. Instead she made a powerful appeal for determining the outcome of each day using these words from the Apostle Paul just weeks before it is believed he was killed by the Roman government. 2 Timothy 1:6-7 NRSVUE [6] For this reason I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is within you through the laying on of my hands, [7] for God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline. Those last 3 are my 2026 determination 1. Live into the spirit of power given to everyone to create 2. Love others by freely sharing all my gifts of knowledge, wisdom, and time. 3. Exercise self-discipline by consistently showing up with authenticity, compassion, and authority. What are your determinations?

Name the Season
Have I told you lately how much I hate winter This bas been the worst winter for snowfall in our city in over 40 years. Oh joy!!! If it weren't for my 6 grandkids we would be living on a warm sunny beach somewhere. Now as I look back on the seasons of my leadership journey there were times I didn't understand what 'season' I was in and it cost me dearly! One of the most freeing leadership moves is correctly naming the season you’re in. Not every season is for building or pushing. What season are you truly in right now—and what does it require?

I dint know if there’s a name for it. I’ll call it learning to be content, learning to wait, learning to serve with grace and a smile on my face when I’m more exhausted than I’ve ever been… “trust and wait” I suppose it is. 😊💜🙏
Pause Is Not Quitting
I took a break from Skool over the Christmas break and felt a bit guilty. it almost felt like I was quitting but then I realized a pause is not quitting. It’s leadership choosing intention over reaction. Some of the strongest moves you’ll make this year will look like stillness. Where do you need permission to pause?
