Choosing Direction Over Certainty
I've always been a x self-starter. What that also involved not waiting to have all my ducks in a row. Sometimes, (wish it was every time) it worked out great. Many times it was a disaster! (Exaggerating a little) Clarity rarely gives certainty but it can provide direction. Leaders don’t wait until they feel 100% sure—they move when the direction is clear enough. What small step of direction is already in front of you?

Name the Season
Have I told you lately how much I hate winter This bas been the worst winter for snowfall in our city in over 40 years. Oh joy!!! If it weren't for my 6 grandkids we would be living on a warm sunny beach somewhere. Now as I look back on the seasons of my leadership journey there were times I didn't understand what 'season' I was in and it cost me dearly! One of the most freeing leadership moves is correctly naming the season you’re in. Not every season is for building or pushing. What season are you truly in right now—and what does it require?

@Janine Wooten absolutely and it reminds me that when we don’t understand what God is doing, we don't see His hand at work we can still trust His heart. Amen!
Momentum Redefined
I thought I'd lost all my momentum! The holidays took the drive out of me or was it too much turkey? What i came to realize is momentum isn’t speed. It’s alignment. So I downsized the Classroom here and decided going forward no more freebies. My 2026 motto is: 'You can move slower and still be moving forward.' What kind of momentum actually serves you in this season?

Pause Is Not Quitting
I took a break from Skool over the Christmas break and felt a bit guilty. it almost felt like I was quitting but then I realized a pause is not quitting. It’s leadership choosing intention over reaction. Some of the strongest moves you’ll make this year will look like stillness. Where do you need permission to pause?

Clarity costs something and in my case $100k! I invested in 4 land banking projects back in 2008 on the advice of my friend and financial advisor. You all remember what happened next. Now 17 years later only one has full paid out at 10 cents on the dollar! Clarity often also costs approval. In my case I wasn't willing to take the more risk averse advice of my wife in 2008. If I'd sought her approval instead of go ahead full steam the bank account wouldn't be empty! I needed to get clarity on what was the better choice not just the exciting one. Now I realize staying unclear costs you more in the long run. What might clarity ask you to let go of?

@reinventedleaders
After facing a life changing choice at 53 I reinvented myself and now help leaders 50+ do the same without fear of failure or burning out.
