Selfie Challenge Day 2
Inspired by @Nicole Moreland I tried a new colour combination today. It’s 8am and we are off to a 16th birthday outing, still not feeling great so hoping the colours will energise me and the flow of the dress will be comfortable but feminine. Boots, hair and makeup to follow

Lovely blues!

I bought this dress here last year snd love how the material is hugging my body. Really such an amazing material that you can hardly feel. But even if we had the weather I’d be very reluctant to wear it in Ireland. Can’t explain why? It’s not really dressy but feels too much for casual.

That's a great dress Ilona, I love the side split.
Selfie 5- advice please
I went to buy some walking trousers today ( I’m not on a no buy but I don’t think walking trousers count anyway!) so here I am in the changing rooms. I have this skirt and I really like the shape but it seems easier to style in the summer with a fitted t shirt. Then it gives a fit and flare look. I like it with my coat on but how to wear my sweater? I was watching a YouTuber whose style I like and she was saying she felt like an extra from Fiddler on the Roof trying to style a similar skirt. I absolutely get that 😂. I tried tucking it in- I don’t think that looks right- and with a belt. Still not sure. Is it the boots? Should I just leave it till summer? Or maybe it’s just not right for me? T shirt and cardi? What do you think?

A fitted top would definitely give that fit and flare look. Im just wondering how a wide belt covering the majority of the waistband would look? Would it provide a clear definition between belt and top? I think the boots are great with the skirt.

We went out with another couple to Piza e Vino, a casual place. I tried my best to look stylish because I think she is one of the most stylish women I know (apart from @Sarah Ryan of course!). Not sure if I succeeded. Even the amount of times I changed my bracelets! Should I wear both right or left, or one on each wrist? This lady wore white shorts and a cotton top and some jewellery and looked a million times more stylish than me. Even though I gave it a lot of thought it didn’t feel right.

I think you have styled it very well, also love that blue on you! As Sarah and Jo have said, your friends style will vary to yours due to a number of factors such as body shape and personality. I've tried copying styles before, but it has jusy felt 'off'.
Audience Participation: Part 2
For those of you who answered my question a couple of days ago about rating your outfit and how it makes you feel, I want you to now think about what would you have to do to make your rating 1 point higher? For example, I answered 7/10. What would I need to do to make it 8/10? This is a self reflective exercise to get you think about your style but feel free to share your answers below.

I had a teal jersey waistcoat over a fitted long sleeve grey t shirt. Had a half tuck, both of these were new to me (only do French or side tucks.) And usually wear waistcoat style tops sleeveless, but way too cold! If I had swapped the fitted top for a shirt it would have added just a little more volume and interest on top half. Was wearing skinny jeans.

@Alexi Sherrill I think there's quite a few! 😂 I favour the French tuck which I believe is when you just tuck a small amount into the front, works well with a jumper. 🙂

I love clothes! I know my colours and sit somewhere between the natural and classic style. But I generally find clothes shopping overwhelming!
