RAS
Just watched this youtube video on RAS Reticular Activating System It's absolutely brilliant and so true when I think about many "believes" I changed over the years. What I need to challenge is my belief that some people just have style and that I don't. I remember distinctly how I felt in school. I admired the Hippies one day, and dressed up like one in my purple dungarees. The next day, I admired the girls who dressed in the tight leather trousers like Olivia Newton John and wanted to dress like them. I never fitted in anywhere. And every time I tried something, it didn't work, it felt and looked as if I was dressing up (like a Halloween costume!). I never thought of this being a "BELIEF". Just thought, that's just how I am - "not stylish". And that some people just ARE stylish. Still don't know WHAT to do - but willing to learn. Willing to switch on this RAS from now on and finding everything that I need to know to become this stylish old lady I want to be. 😃

I can relate to this too @Ilona Madden. I feel I’m either dressing up or hiding away. Watching the video on RAS sparked things I wasn't consciously aware of!
A Gentle Return to Myself Through Style
Fancy Friday was my first introduction to you, Sarah, and it was the spark that helped me rediscover myself and transformed my style. I happily continued the journey through Streamline Your Style and Secrets of Effortless Style. Over the years, I’ve revisited the courses and the Shop Your Wardrobe Challenge, continuing to learn and evolve. Recent events mean it’s time for another shift. Not one I chose, but one I’m embracing as I reimagine my outfits and transition from heels to more stable shoes (I currently have just one pair that works!). I’m determined not to lose my sense of elegance and hope to find shoes — that truly suit my needs, both medically and aesthetically. After five months of living in trousers — definitely not me — I’m really looking forward to wearing my dresses and skirts again. Somewhere along the way, I felt a little disconnected from myself. It feels like the perfect time to return to your wonderful courses and gently reconnect with a refreshed, confident version of me.

I am back in black again (honestly, I do love it), but I put my sweatshirt over my shoulder so that you can see that I WILL have color on when I go outside (plus, don’t you love the slippers ;)). Although this t-shirt does not have a lower neckline, which is ideal for me, it does hit me right at the waist, which I like. My joggers are high waisted. I’m really trying to merge style and lifestyle (today is work, walking, and lifting weights).

@Nicole Moreland I agree!
Accesorizing
Very casual day today alone with my boy and i don't have to juggle much. This is a heavily repeated combo for me in the cold cold weather skim mixing it up with a scarf too. The winter really zap a my hair quickly and i find i rely very heavily on it to feel great when i have fewer tools to play with in the cold. Trying to remember my accessories in my arsenal today. 💕

@Sarah Ryan sounds intriguing! I looking forward to learning more about this.
Selfie 5- advice please
I went to buy some walking trousers today ( I’m not on a no buy but I don’t think walking trousers count anyway!) so here I am in the changing rooms. I have this skirt and I really like the shape but it seems easier to style in the summer with a fitted t shirt. Then it gives a fit and flare look. I like it with my coat on but how to wear my sweater? I was watching a YouTuber whose style I like and she was saying she felt like an extra from Fiddler on the Roof trying to style a similar skirt. I absolutely get that 😂. I tried tucking it in- I don’t think that looks right- and with a belt. Still not sure. Is it the boots? Should I just leave it till summer? Or maybe it’s just not right for me? T shirt and cardi? What do you think?
Selfie 5- advice please

@Nicole Moreland these were going to be my suggestions too. I have recently learnt the trick of tucking tops into tights, it really does help smooth and define
