Light hands aren’t about your hands
Having light hands is actually less about your hands than you think. The phrase ‘light hands’ is actually not accurate and can be confusing for those trying to learn it. Light hands is about timing. Timing the release of pressure. We actually need to be fairly firm with our hold when teaching a horse to lighten up. We need to hold, not pull and allow the horse to find the comfort in the release itself. If we have spaghetti hands - too light - the horse will just learn to take them from you. And equally, if we have pulling hands the horse will learn to brace. 6 things that will help: Practice the release more than anything else. Understand the difference between pull and hold Slow down in the pickup of the rein Have great mental preparation for each movement Breathe - the release should involve a breath out Pay the try - before it happens Join me in the light hands course this week! 100% Agree, it's how we use those hands that is key, it's more important that the bit at the end of the reins.

Emotion is just an energy
When we regard emotions as a form of energy, it becomes clear how easily a single negative feeling can undermine our daily experiences. While many people assume they are powerless to control their emotional responses or reactions to unfavorable situations, the reality is that negative energy can be managed with the same simplicity as flipping a light switch. I say this process as uncomplicated, yet not necessarily easy. The process itself is straightforward, but putting it into practice can be difficult. The first step is to look at emotions as energy, and that is the start of being able to separate yourself from your reaction.

💯 agree, we have the power to control and choose our emotions. The brain/mind is like a muscle we just need to train it to work for us and not against us. 😊
If it’s all available to you which to you choose?
Consider a scenario where every emotion is available to you. Which one would you prefer, recognizing that introspection is vital for initiating change? Some people unknowingly seek negative emotions, not due to fault or blame, but as a consequence of their beliefs. Picture creating each day to reflect your desired emotional state, every single day. Although challenging, this is an attainable objective.
