Pressure is not a nasty word
Just because we dont cope well with something doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do it. Pressure for a horse is learning to cope. It’s new situations, new training, new gear. All of this essential for your horses improvement. Learning that pressure - and more importantly, the release of pressure isn’t a bad thing will take your relationship to the next level. It may be hard to start with, but before long it’ll be just another thing ticked off.
Pressure is not a nasty word
Patience - a game of chess
Many times when training we need to wait. Wait for the release, wait for the emotions to come down, wait for the learning. It’s more of a waiting game than most people have time for. Our busy lives have us always in a hurry and this can be very detrimental to your relationship with your horse. If we think about setting up and waiting more than making it happen the pressure comes off. The expectation drops, the patience increases. Try your hand at something different. Think it. Set it up. Wait. Release. Just hold, don’t fight, don’t force, just hold and release with the right answer. It’s a magic way to train. Your horse will thank you.

Life Lessons Learned from a Horse
Horses have a way of teaching us things that go far beyond the saddle. 🐴 They teach patience when things don’t go as planned. 🐴 They teach responsibility in the quiet, everyday care. 🐴 They teach communication without words. And sometimes… they teach us how to slow down and find a little peace in the middle of everything. I’ve learned one life lesson from a horse that truly changed how I see things—and I’m sharing it in the link below because I think it’s life changing. I hope that you will take the time to read this and consider joining me in being part of something meaningful. Share a lesson a horse has taught you, tell your story, and if you have one, add a picture too. You never know… your experience might be exactly what someone else needs to hear. 💛https://www.skool.com/elegant-equine-8900/my-number-1?p=34fbdfe1%20

Hello!
Nice to meet everyone! I’m a horse enthusiast with 15+ years working with performance horses, complemented by experience in bodywork and equine biomechanics. I competed for years in western pleasure, HUS, showmanship, Eq., Horsemanship, trail, reining, ranch horse, and speed events. Currently I have a young mare that I am training to be my performance prospect geared towards a new journey for myself in the cowhorse industry. My goal is to deliver the knowledge and experience I have gained with practical tips and tools that can be used every day. Horses are hard enough and I strive to provide the bubble wrap we are all desperate for in the form of easy to use and convenient tools. I believe in trust, connection, communication, and a true bond with a horse. In my opinion the best partnerships with horses aren’t built on force… they’re built on understanding, trust, and patience. I hope to learn new things and meet more horse enthusiasts in this community! Let’s be friends!
