#週更4 I watched a classic financial crisis (2008) movie "The Big Short" last week. I can sense it must be a masterpiece, but as a financial dummy (金融白癡), I was too struggle to understand all the financial terms.🫠 Since it's quite hard to follow the plot twist, I was still confused at the end 🤣 (what? why? did they get the money?) But anyway, the film was creative, they had actors breaking the fourth wall (打破第四面牆跟觀眾說話), celebrities explaining terms in a simple way (Me: Not simple enough🫠). I also love the music and different perspectives (humanity vs. corporate machine) of the financial crisis, so I would say it's a great way to understand our big history event. 😇❓: 次級房貸 Subprime Mortgage 抵押貸款債券 Mortgage-Backed Securities, MBS 擔保債權憑證 Collateralized Debt Obligations, CDO 信用違約交換 Credit Default Swaps, CDS 垃圾債券Junk Bonds Short the market 做空市場 Bet against the housing market 與房地產市場對賭 It’s a bubble 這是個假象

✏️ think something through 造句【think 系列】
介系詞是英文裡最奧妙的一環，像是配件一樣能完全改變句子的樣貌。 Think something through 表示去徹底考慮、想透、想清楚。有時有悔意、怪罪的語氣。 🗣️ 例如 I didn't think it through when I bought the EV. （我買電動車時沒有想清楚。） Didn't you think it through before moving to the suburbs? （你搬家到郊區之前沒有想透徹嗎？） ✏️造句練習：用 think something through 造句，並且嘗試加入以下單字，選一即可。注意，造句時請注意詞性（動詞、名詞等）。 -completely -purchase -hold -ground 加油！ ⬇️

Congrats, Tiffany, Jane, Ruby and Jess on finishing our group class!
