Please give a big welcome to the newest member, my daughter, born last week 🙌🏾 you can tell I’ve been a little quieter than usual (and a lot less rested), largely thanks to this one 😌. Don’t worry I’ve got the Uke bass ready and waiting to show her the ropes. But I’m back now and we’ll slowly start ramping things up in here. Let me recap the vision with this group: This group is here to remove the barriers to learning to play, especially for our church musicians. The community will grow into all you NEED to get going and playing in church. I know what it’s like to not be able to afford, or even find good music lessons, especially someone that can teach the information that is directly useful for playing on a Sunday service. To be clear, this group will always be free, but we are going to be operating on the crowdfunding model. I’m setting up a Patreon page and we’re gonna have different goals. It will look something like: Once we hit £1000 per month, I can host live weekly drop in sessions/Q&A At £2500 per month, we’ll provide a small quarterly music gear grant for a member or church (all to be applied for) At £4000+ per month we can increase the frequency or scope of giveaways. Remember the goal is to remove the barriers and as a community, support each other to grow and build thriving teams in churches. There will be no obligation to support but if you like what we’re doing and want to help fellow Christian bassists around the globe then we’d love your support, whether that’s a monthly contribution or one off donation.
