You Must Believe In Your Legend. Christ or The Ubermench
As I loathed myself, mindlessly working for scraps, lazing about in my free time—the pathetic last man that I am—a revelation struck me. We, as men, must walk the path of the legends and paragons who came before us. We must feed into the delusion, so to speak, even if we cannot fully walk the walk. Through such belief come the actions that begin to make the legend take shape. But if you walk your path doubting, or finding it cringe—if you think you’re LARPING, that these thoughts are just whimsical, mystical nonsense—then of course it will become unattainable. The world is more mystical than we allow it to be. Industrialization, individualism, the death of religion, and the push for science and reason have snuffed it out. Alexander, Napoleon, Caesar, and other figures like them believed in their divine spark—their capacity to accomplish great things, not merely the mundane—and thus they built the greatest empires the world had ever seen, and their names have yet to disappear from our lips. They did not fret over whether they could; they just took action. They believed they were the sons of gods, and thus they held within them an unending fire that would burn the world around them and create what they saw. Now, I am not saying to abandon reason and realism for mysticism and idealism. No—both are necessary to live in the world. They complement each other, and we’ve seen it in the great men who came before us. In a world of suffocating realism and nihilism, we who were born of lesser men must be the ones to light some idealism and magic back into the world. We must allow ourselves to believe that the forces around us can be shaped to our benefit. And so I say that Christ or the Übermensch is the only way forward—Christianity or Nietzsche. Both are philosophies and ways of life that are unapologetically life-affirming, that seek to push man beyond his nature and his weakness. Christ for those who can still feel the presence of God in a world that killed Him; the Übermensch for those who cannot feel God yet must fight for life. Whichever is chosen, it matters not, for both share the same sentiment: Man is something that must be overcome. We, as men, must overcome our nature to bring beauty and glory into the world, and to stop those who openly worship demons and commit acts of evil from destroying it.

@Rob Shannon When nietzsche said "God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him." It does not mean that God is literally dead it means that man had killed what was godly inside of them and destroyed their belief in the divine. It is the same concept in the theology of Christianity when someone rejects God and they are sperated from his grace. Christianity is weak and it has remained weak and nietzsche rightfully pointed it out. It became a religion that pushed weakness as virtue, allowed decadence within its own walls and evil men get away with their actions. For this it has become twisted and used to push further decay and corruption. Slave morality. This is not because Christianity is inherently weak, and that was not what nietzsche was trying to say either. Its because of the folly of man that it turned to what it is today. Now this is the reason why a good majority of people need the Ăśbermensch is because the people before us trampled the belief in the divine from the the generations that came to be that they can no longer hold faith or ever believe in God. I know this because I am one of them and I've spent enough time around real world circles and internet circles to see this. I will never have faith in God it was something taken from me by the evil that was allowed to spread, but I still seek to become great, beautiful, to live and be free. This is what the Ăśbermensch is. Christ for those that can still believe. The Ăśbermensch for those that can't. It's a sad reality but it's is the one we live in. Not everyone can turn to Christ they are literally incapable of it because of the damage done to our souls, but it would be smart to work with the people and turn them to our side through the Ăśbermensch life affirmation and truth rather then cast them out trying to force belief and faith. We need as many people as possible on our side if things are to get better

@Rob Shannon "If the external world can break your internal spirit you are weak." That is an unfair and uncharitable statement to make considering the fact that generations have been born in a world that spawn camped their internal spirit and they're physical wellness. They did not get a chance to fight against the indoctrination or the spiritual destruction. They are weak because they broke under an oppressive, soul draining, demoralizing, exhausting, meaningless, humiliating, nature averse, slave driving system meant to leave them unprepared and destroy them? How could you not expect someone to break? We were born into decay and decadence. This was something done to people, not chosen. To be completely honest people have every right to break. Society did not fullfill their side of the contract and provide them with the necessary tools to succeed or live fruitful lives. What im saying is that I would reconsider such a statement. Not to be rude, but it sounds foolish and a tad ignorant. That being said it is problems that must be resolved and retribution that must be sought out once its all well and done. So the evil that was done must be cast aside for the time being in search of strength. Regardless of your lot in life. Regarding the ablility to believe. Intelligence has nothing to do with it. You cannot logic your way into having faith or belief in God. I lied to myself trying to follow catholicism and in the end I simply couldnt believe. Not because I didn't want to, but because I am literally unable to believe. I dont know how else to say it. That was done by the malicious forces that destroyed that part of me and many others when I was a child. I have seen nothing that would prove the existence of the Christian God or of any God. I cannot in good conscience lie to myself into believing something I do not think is real. It is not good for my soul, but also if God is real it would be disrespectful to utter his name knowing I don't have any faith or belief in him.
What is the biggest risk you have taken which paid off the most?
I am subscribed to the belief that stepping out of ones comfort zone can lead to greater outcomes in life, even smaller scale actional steps have resulted in a tonic outcomes within my own life. There's also something to be said for finding your comfort zone and developing within that space, which sounds paradoxical but might still hold truth in other contexts. I also find the concept of flow being highly useful when observing where discipline meets motivation. Naturally motivation comes in waves unreliably but should be leveraged when available, developed discipline carries you through the troughs of life. Flow is finding that perfect balance where skill meets challenge. I'd love to hear some of your thoughts on comfort zones, risk vs reward, flow states, as well as any recommended books you'd like to share.

My biggest risk was moving out with very little planning. Left NYC and headed over to Wisconsin with a older buddy who offered to help me get on my feet. Went at the worst time possible to find an apartment and work. Didn't have a car and was still struggling with a lot of internal issues, but my buddy was there with me through all of it, teaching me what my parents neglected to and helping me become independent.

The feeling of weakness that you're expressing from getting beaten up is understandable, but considering you mentioned that it was a jumping and a 10v1 then there's nothing to be ashamed of. You did the smart thing by running those guys couldve left you life altering injuries or at worst taken your life. Those guys are a bunch of pussies if they thought that beating up on one guy between ten makes them powerful. If it really eats at you then start training hard so that you will be better prepared next time. Better yet the smart thing to do is to get a legal carry so that next time you can equal the playing field.

@Cristan Gill If firearms are illegal where you live then yes getting some training to wield another legal weapon is the next best thing, but it's better than having nothing to defend yourself with. Realistically there's no way for you to win a 10v1 so just keep training your body so that you can take a few punches and run from that unwinnable situation with more ease. A weapon would certainly help but it wouldnt be a automatic win button.
