After playing with Pete and having worked along side him in the cage, it definitely seemed like he was focused on his upper half/hands. (ie. timing his hand pump, staying direct to the ball). I can recall watching him step out and work on his cues with his hands. In this video it definitely looks like he’s focusing on hand/bat path.
My Swing
I want to know drills or things to do that will help me use all the power my body has to offer

@Quinn Champion nice looking swing! Without even breaking down mechanics, I would focus on putting together a good pre-swing routine. After you’re warmed up and activated, put your body through numerous movements that pinpoint explosiveness and hip drive (ie med ball throws, banded rotation/anti-rotation work). I just ordered a water bag, I know @Jantzen Witte has found a new appreciation for these so I’m super excited to incorporate it. Also, simply some heavy bat and light bat work where you aren’t concerned about swing changes, but simply varying the weight is proven to help bat speed. I’ll post soon showing my pre-swing routine to highlight a few things that have worked for me. Let me know your thoughts!
What kind of recovery tools do you use?
How serious do you take your recovery? Whether we’re training every day in the off-season, or playing games every day in season, how we recover has a direct correlation to our performance. The higher you make it in this game, the smaller margin there is between you and your competition. How are you getting the most out of each day? Here’s a look into my toolbox. It’s taken me a while to dial in what I feel works best for my body/mind. What kind of tools have helped you guys? If you need help with your routine, hit me up!

@Jantzen Witte you and @Jake Hager got me locked with the in season grounding routine! Love it!
Stop dropping Hands
Anyone have anything to stop dropping your hands? Here is an example

@Enzo Divito check out your turn right here! I don’t see too much bat drag and this looks pretty clean. I’d say start each hitting session with a few of these and try to keep the same feel with how your hands enter the zone.

@Jantzen Witte swinging with intent cleans up so many things! @Enzo Divito dont think muscle up and swing hard, think let it flow and be quick.
Trust the Barrel will arrive on time
Trying to get player to focus on what’s in front of him, not what’s behind him Don’t lead with the bat, let the body move and the barrel will get there Trust it
