Last bit out of a pen
I know someone had posted on this before so I apologize. Any tricks to get the last bit out of an injection pen? It won’t go any higher? Do I just draw it out with a syringe? @Ivy Lynn

@Barry Freeman yessssss I just draw it out with a syringe and add it to my next cartridge!! Its weird because it doesn't always happen... but it does happen 🤣

@Barry Freeman you're very welcome!!!
Pens vs Syringes
I’m looking at going the way of reusable pens vs syringes for my daily research. I feel like refilling pens would get old, but is it worth it to refill pens instead of using and filling syringes daily? Thank you!

I will personally never go back to syringes.. the benefits of convience, saving time, no dull poke, no more super sensitive injection spots ... just to name a few ... no more syringes for me.... and once you understand the filing process it's no big deal... Refillpen.com code Derek

Peptide Pen Cartridge = Multi-Dose Vial Experiment? I Tested It 🧪
So here's a fun little accidental experiment I ran yesterday. If you're familiar with peptide pens, you know the deal — you reconstitute your peptide, transfer the solution into one of those little pen cartridges, pop it in, and dose from there. Well, I ran out of the needle tips for my pen. My GHK-Cu was already loaded in the cartridge and I needed my dose. So I thought… why not just draw from the cartridge with a regular insulin syringe? Same reconstituted solution, same sterile container — in my head, it should work exactly like pulling from a multi-dose vial. So that's what I did. Drew my normal amount. Results? Worked perfectly. No issues whatsoever. Now, everything in my mind told me this should work, and it did — but I still thought it was an interesting little proof of concept worth sharing. At the end of the day, that cartridge is just a small sealed container holding your reconstituted peptide. Whether you're dispensing it through a pen tip or drawing it out with a syringe, the solution doesn't know the difference. Just a good reminder that if you ever find yourself in a pinch (no pun intended), you've got options. Has anyone else done this before? Curious if others have run into the same situation. 👇

@Jeffrey Naujok excellent explanation! Also you don't have a dull tip since you aren't sticking the tip into a vial first ... which makes the injx much smoother!

@Candi Rexroat if it's a big amount of units you might need to hold it in a bit longer. I hold mine no matter the amount of units for a slow count of 15 ... or it might be the tip itself
PSA: TSA Will Test Your Buc-ee's Seasoning for Purity But Not Your Peptides
On a lighter note this morning, I wanted to share a funny TSA story with you guys. Yesterday I went through security at DFW and my carry-on got flagged by TSA. Meanwhile, my backpack went through without a second glance. Keep in mind what's in that backpack: a peptide pen, insulin syringes, and reconstituted peptides. So when they pulled my bag I'm standing there thinking… "wait, what are they flagging?" Visions of explaining research peptides to a confused TSA agent are flashing through my head. Turns out? I bought a special seasoning at Buc-ee's. They had to open it up and test it. On the positive side, I guess it passed for purity? Not sure about endotoxins or sterility though 😂 Moral of the story: TSA does not care about your peptides. Buc-ee's seasoning on the other hand? Suspicious.

That's pretty funny @Derek Pruski and they really don't care... I've traveled like i said with a basic pharmacy . 8 refillpens, tips, vials, syringes ... not a peep... I've been flagged for other stuff and they've looked directly at my pep cooler... not a peep....
Traveling With Peptides Through TSA? Pens, Peptides, Syringes?
I get asked about this a lot, so I wanted to share my experience from today. If you're traveling through TSA, you can bring: - Peptide pens - Insulin syringes - Preloaded syringes - Reconstituted vials I took all four of these through TSA today and they didn't even pull my bag or ask me a single question. TSA is used to seeing medical supplies. Insulin syringes and injectable medications go through security every single day. Your peptides aren't going to raise any red flags. A Few Tips: - You don't need a prescription or doctor's note, but you can bring one if it makes you feel better - If they do ask, just say it's medication - you don't need to go into detail - Checked bags work too if you'd rather not deal with it at all Don't stress about it. Travel with your peptides and stay on protocol.
