A Cautionary Tale...
Hi all. For anyone that has seen my previous posts, I started my Etsy journey on April 11th and managed to get to 'Top 25 Etsy Sellers' in that time. Yesterday my shop was permanently banned for IP infringement - I appealed and I have received confirmation that the decision won't be changed. For context, I had received 2 IP infringement notices in that time. The final 'nail' in my shops 'coffin' came yesterday when I received an IP infringement notice for an image that I obtained from a very popular Public Domain use website, that clearly states the following - "The Artist died in 1917 so this work is in the public domain in its country of origin and other countries where the copyright term is the Artist's life". This is the only part of my cautionary tale that I actually feel was unfair; although Etsy weren't interested in my direct appeal. This is entirely my own fault. Rules are there to be followed and whilst I could link you to a LOT of other shops that are selling items that are either the exact same, or slightly different, it doesn't matter - rules are rules and I broke them. The cautionary bit - I have spent literally hundreds of hours on my shop since I opened it only 6 or so weeks ago, I was well on the way to Star Seller and had 5* reviews across the board. None of this matters as I was clearly in breach of Etsy's stringent rules. Please don't fall foul of these same rules - check your inventory regularly, make sure you remove anything that could be deemed to be someone else's intellectual property. They ain't f*cking around here! The future? - This has been a BLAST! I have managed to meet some really cool people here, Callum Massey, Tom, Max and Mihai (plus many others). I'll probably go and do something else with AI now (not Etsy, obviously) ๐Ÿ˜‰ I wish everyone the best of luck and good fortune in their endeavours - please be careful and don't make the same mistake that I did. Cheers!

@Toby Roberts thanks and yeah really looking forward to creating and getting some designs up. Iโ€™ve owned a retail shop so I know all about customer service, and doing it properly. Good luck Toby, gutted Iโ€™m losing you from the group, I could have really pecked your head! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Advice on my store
Hi everyone! I started designing posters around May after discovering Print Shrimp, and decided to focus on travel prints. Iโ€™ve made about 1,000 posters, and so far Iโ€™ve only uploaded 10 designs to my Etsy shop (just recently today). Iโ€™d really appreciate any feedback on how I can improve before adding the rest. Feel free to absolutely slaughter it. I'm here to learn :) https://www.etsy.com/shop/SantaiWallArt?ref=seller-platform-mcnav Thank you !

Iโ€™m just starting out and noticed your cool video, how did you make this and how long can the video be - 10,20, 30 seconds?
No salesโ€ฆ any advice? ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ
Hi, I started my shop around 3 weeks ago, and no sales just yet. Also only had 79 views. I have my account selling things I design, not using AI etc, and I reckon it might be just because itโ€™s not popularโ€ฆ any advice on my store would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all! https://rhihaus.etsy.com

@Alex Broome I do come from an SEO background ( ranked number 1 in Google for many blog posts) so even saturated niches will have โ€œlow hanging fruitโ€, you just have to research that bit harder. I do prefer Everbee, but might also give Erank a try. SEO is definitely a numbers game and also looking at the data to see whatโ€™s working, and then following that path. Itโ€™s not rocket science, but it is time consuming. If you need any help or advice on it, just let me know, and I will help you all I can.

Yeah thatโ€™s still very early, algorithms take time to rank you. Iโ€™ve not added any designs yet? What shop were you looking at? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Yeah will look at social media. I can build automations for posting, so will definitely try this. No not yet, do you?
PrintShrimp FAQs - Please Read!
Hey guys, Thought it might be useful to have a big old list of our FAQs. Please take a read through this and familiarise yourself with how we operate! How do I place my orders? Placing your orders is very simple with PrintShrimp. Unlike other platforms, we allow to create your products on your marketplace of choice, and then come to PrintShrimp for fulfillment. You can manually place orders, by filling in your customers address and uploading your print file. We also offer Etsy integration, allowing you to fulfill your orders with the click of a button. Head to the integration tab, connect your Etsy shop, and then click 'Import Orders' in your create order tab. We let you have the final say before fulfilling your order, so your shop is in your hands. When and how are my orders sent? Due to our extensive network of printers, it depends on the country of fulfilment. In the UK, we typically use Royal Mail 48. We use USPS Standard shipping in the USA, and AusPost Standard shipping in Australia. We print our orders on working days, but feel free to place your orders like normal on the weekends and they will be picked up and processed first thing on Monday. Our processing times vary from same day in the UK, to 2-3 days in other parts of the world. Please view of all of our processing and delivery times here. When can I expect to receive tracking numbers? You can normally expect your UK tracking numbers to become available at the end of the working day. In countries such as the US and also the EU, tracking is automatically added as soon as your order is shipped. You can see expected processing times, and therefore when you can expect your tracking, on our price table here. Please be aware that our locations open and operate in accordance with their respective time zones, and working days. The earlier in a day your order is placed, the faster we can get that order into production. Orders placed later in the day may not enter production until the next working day, due to when courier collections take place.

I am a 59 years young looking to work online and escape the rat race. I really love making vibe coding apps, videos and building automations.
