Indeed Smart Sourcing
Hello everyone, quick question: Am I the only one who thinks paying $400 for 100 contacts on Indeed is absolutely reasonable… if you're also paying $20 for a bottle of water at the airport? Seriously though, is anyone actually paying for this? If not, what are you folks doing to get resumes—besides sacrificing your sanity to the recruitment gods?

@Courtney Hynes How would people source recruiters?
How do you keep your candidate outreach from becoming overwhelming?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to level up my recruiting game and could use some advice on managing candidate outreach, especially on platforms like LinkedIn. It's starting to feel super repetitive, and I'm struggling to keep track of who I've contacted and when. My biggest fear is accidentally sending duplicate messages or forgetting to follow up with a great candidate, which makes my outreach feel spammy rather than genuine. My goal is to stay consistent, save time, and most importantly, maintain meaningful connections. So, my question for you all is: How do you organize your outreach campaigns to avoid this chaos? - What's your system for tracking conversations (spreadsheets, a specific CRM, a browser extension)? - How do you use templates without sounding like a robot? - What's your follow-up strategy that gets responses without being annoying? I'd love to hear what tools and workflows you swear by. Let's share what's working! šŸ‘‡

Hi, I'm actually on the other end, so I'm managing my recruiter and company outreach as a candidate. I actually use spreadsheets, specifically Numbers app (from Apple), but Google Sheets or Excel is alright as well. So I list down: - Date of email - Company/person name - Role - Contact/email/website - Status (pending, interview, unresponsive, accepted, cancelled, etc.) I also have some email labels for the inbox (I added a picture) I get email templates then tweak it a little bit or add something fun. So like I was applying to a company whose niche is in dogs and pets, so then I would also include that I like dogs and have a pet corgi, or something along those lines. Also, having a not-super-formal email signature. Like instead of saying "Regards" I would put "Cheers" or "Cool" Hope this isn't too long and hope it helps! Good luck!
The Biggest Challenge in Recruiting Today , What’s Yours?
Hi everyone šŸ‘‹ I’m excited to be part of this Recruiting Community! My name is Noel O. Kingsley, a Career Sourcing Specialist based in the U.S. I spend my days connecting great talent with opportunities and helping companies discover the right candidates to grow their teams. One thing I’ve noticed in this industry is how quickly the landscape is changing, AI, shifting job markets, and evolving candidate expectations are rewriting the rules of recruiting. That makes me curious: What do you think is the biggest challenge or opportunity in recruiting today, finding the right candidates, keeping them engaged, or retaining them once hired? Looking forward to learning from everyone’s perspective and sharing insights together.

From my perspective as a candidate, I would say that the biggest challenge is finding each other. Candidates don't know who recruiters are, and likewise, the recruiters don't know who the candidates are. Even if they might be trying to find each other, it is hard to create connections. Usually candidates know other candidates, and recruiters know other recruiters. So it's about merging these two.

Unlocking Top Talent in a Competitive Market
Recruiters and talent leaders, here’s a question I often get: How do you consistently find top candidates in such a competitive market without burning out? From my experience as a Career Sourcing Specialist, it comes down to three key strategies: 1ļøāƒ£ Precision Sourcing: Focus on the right channels and refine search criteria to target the best-fit candidates. 2ļøāƒ£ Engagement First: Personalized outreach beats generic messages every time, show genuine interest in the candidate’s achievements. 3ļøāƒ£ Talent Pipeline Mindset: Build relationships long before the role opens, future-proof your hiring. I’m curious to hear from this amazing community: šŸ’” What’s the one sourcing or engagement tactic that’s giving you the best results right now? Let’s share insights and help each other elevate our recruiting game.
