Thinking about doing this dark purple for the cD on the neckband… what do yall think?

So excited to have completed clue number 2. My boyfriend said “ I thought you told me this was a stash buster? But I noticed you were using your new yarn” and I said it is a stash buster but my stash isn’t that big yet 🤪

Knitting size 1, I don’t understand how to go about knitting the alternating colors for the steek when I leave them from a previous row. Am I suppose to carry them around and keep catching floats so in they’re in the correct position when I come back around? Pulling the yarn to the left to use those colors again has caused my steek to be all bunched up ):
