💚 Why I Don’t Rush Young Horses...
...but I do suggest starting to get things done, implemented and understood as young as possible. Why? Because they need the time to understand. So the sooner things are explained to them, the sooner they will understand compared to for example, others who were not. Speed creates reactions sure, might even look like the finished product but it rarely is and shows up later, whereas time creates understanding, and confidence and lower expectations being met with good ones. A young horse who is allowed to grow into their work, physically and mentally becomes the horse who lasts. And longevity will always matter more than quick results. What’s something you’re choosing not to rush right now? 🐴✨🫶

I suppose I need to slow down with my groudwork for the moment because with the current low temperatures, my Roan is filled with a yehaa let's move feeling and only wants to go fast while I try to tell him to slow down and concentrate on the things we're doing. So I'd better laugh about it and try again next time.😄😂

💪 And we’re currently sitting at #172 in Discovery. All organically. No Ads. No podcast promotion (yet). Just a website update, a few social posts/stories, a couple of reels with a CTA… and you. That honestly means a lot.🥰 This space is growing because of engagement, curiosity, and people who genuinely want to get good with their horses. And that’s exactly how I hoped it would grow. As we expand, I thought it might be nice to open the floor a little. You can find most of my background, career highlights, and story on my website here: ABOUT Zoë, but I’m always happy to answer questions more personally. So I’m curious, do you have any questions about: - my journey with horses? - my career path? - mistakes I’ve made? - lessons that shaped me? - what I believe now vs years ago? Nothing is off limits (within reason 😉). If you’ve ever wondered something and thought, “Maybe I’ll ask one day” - this is your moment. Let’s talk. Love you 😘 🐴✨🫶

I'd love to know more about Mia. I know that there was big love between the two of you, but also that she wasn't easy. Was she the reason that you started your journey with horses?
😍 Hi peeps - heads-up for this weekend...
...I’m away at Spoga Creator Days this weekend in Germany. 🤩 I’ll be leaving home tomorrow at around 5am and will probably be crawling into my hotel bed around 11pm, so I won’t be very active here on Saturday. I might pop in on Sunday if I have a bit of energy once I’m home. If you feel like chatting amongst yourselves, sharing thoughts, or supporting each other while I’m away, please do. And if you have questions, know that I’ll come back to them. FYI - This community is doing so well where we’re currently #198 in Discovery - which honestly makes me smile. 😊 How cool would it be to reach the top 10 this spring? That can only happen through engagement from you and from me but no pressure at all - it’s already special as it is. I’ll post the Weekly Wins later tonight so we’ve got something lovely to carry us through the weekend 🌈 Thank you for being here and for making this space what it is. with love, Zoë 🐴✨🫶 spoga horse CREATOR DAYS » partnering with SehrwieViel

🎧 Do the best with what you’ve got
Hey horse-lovers, I thought it was nice to highlight some of my most popular podcasts once in a while. 👉 First up is: Episode 46: Do the best with what you’ve got. The message may feel especially relevant to a few of you here. It’s about the simple truth that it is absolutely possible to be successful with horses, without a fancy arena, the best tack or tools, or even expensive-bred horses. My rock-star Lenny boy cost no more than €800 😊 Some of the most meaningful progress with horses happens in ordinary places, with ordinary setups, guided by curiosity, patience, and a lot of heart. If this resonates with where you’re at right now, this episode might be a good listen for you. And I’d love to know - what’s something you’ve learned to make work, even without the ideal setup? 🐴✨🫶 LISTEN to Zoë

Right now I,m not able to watch the video, I will do that later, but I would like to react to your to question: what is something that you've learned to make work even without the ideal setup? Strangely enough this is not about my own horse, but about all the horses that I've seen/ while looking for him. Often the circumstances were not ideal, horses completely unknown to me; but what did work were not only my eyes but also my abilty to assess the horses by just "feeling" who they were. I think I was able to do that because of all the things I've learned about horses over time. So I was able to use that even without the right circumstances. Maybe it helped that I knew exactly what I was looking for. And you know what: Roan has it all!😃
🗒️A little love for checklists (and why they can work)...
💛 Hello beautiful peeps, how's your Sunday going? If you’ve been around here a bit, you might’ve noticed I’m a bit of a checklist kind of girl! And if you’re not, that’s totally okay. 😍 That said, I’ll gently encourage you to try it. For me, checklists help create patterns, visual pathways and clear but flexible plan. And as we all know…horses thrive on patterns (good ones) and constantly remind us to be flexible. When our thinking is clearer, our timing and communication usually are too. You don’t have to be rigid or perfectionist about it. Even a rough list, a few bullet points, or a note on your phone can help bring focus and calm into a session. 👉 If you did not ask for access to Classroom - Part 2 yet, I encourage you to do so coz this is where you will meet one of my first checklists encouraging you to plan your dreams and goals with your horses. When you reach and unlock Level 2 - Get Good ➜ Discovery - there you will find two eBook checklists of which have been life changing for many of my students because it gives you an immediate focus and plan of what is achievable. Check out the poll below, each point counts to new unlocks and you are welcome to expand your thoughts in the comments - I’m always curious how different brains like to work. Your Zoë 🐴✨🫶

I'm already using your checklist for young horses. It works very well for me to see where I am with him at the moment, where we came from and where we are going😊.
