Wow, your farm looks incredibly fun for all of your animals! Are those llamas in the adjacent pasture? I love watching our donkeys (we have 5 minis) run the Donkey Derby around our farm. They are like elementary kids in PE, pushing, kicking, and racing to be in the front!

Hi Nancy! Unlike you, we live where it is hot most of the time, yet we have had several cold nights recently. I was putting blankets on all 5 of our miniature donkeys, but I found they were more likely to play tug-of-war with the blankets, ending up half on and half off. This never happened in the prior years, but our recent addition, Honey (she's 1.5 years old) has inspired the group to be naughty with the blankets. I couldnt believe she was the culprit, but I watched her with my own 2 eyes go around pulling at their blankets! Thankfully, we have a wonderful barn and attached corral that they go in every night, which is warm and cozy in the winter. In the summer, we have fans blowing in there to cool everybody down, including the humans! I hope your donkeys are happy and healthy! Heidi

@Nancy Rothery Speaking of “getting into things,” you won't believe what I found hanging out the side of my little donkey’s mouth the other day… are you familiar with bungy straps? Imagine seeing the black spring part (the cord was not attached) sitting right between her lips looking like the stub of a cigar! My first thought was, well this is simple, I’ll just squeeze the two sides of her mouth and open it up like I’m putting a bit in a horse‘s mouth and grab it out. Not even close. I thought it was stuck in her tooth, but no, it was in her cheek.The hook end of the spring was embedded inside her cheek tissue. I had to basically get my whole hand in there and do some twisting and turning in order for it to release. The bungy strap was brand new because there was still rubber around the hook part, and there was no blood in her mouth, but it was definitely twisted in. I will second your comment of “Never a Dull Moment!” 😅 We need to find a way to shorten that comment and make it a name! 😂

@Connie Patterson Thanks for that information. I will dig into this further and see if the vet’s office will run this test.

We live in SW Florida, and I searched the TV Guide and the local WZVN-TV (ABC 7/26) site with no success of finding the show. Can I stream it on Hulu or is there another way to watch? I'm so excited for you, Megan!
