Principle of continuous action
I've been meditating on the principle of action. Maybe some Chinese philosophers would call it "wu-wei". I think a good part of life is determined by luck, but you have to be prepared to take advantage of that luck, otherwise you miss the opportunity. There are many such opportunities, all throughout one's lifetime, so just because you missed one, doesn't mean hope is lost, as another will follow. But it seems to me that, instead of trying to predict some specific lucky event, or force it to happen, or wait idly for it to happen, it's better to just continuously act. Continuously be doing things that are healthy, that make you stronger and that you enjoy (or can learn to enjoy) like exercise, challenging cognitive work, meeting new people or whatever you think matters. If you're continuously doing stuff in general, you're more likely to be able to see luck when it presents itself and capitalise on it.
