Updated Problem Statement
Hi everyone, I'm going back to the drawing board on my problem statement and offer over Christmas. Local early-stage software startup founders struggle to ship and sell their products because they over-engineer solutions without dedicating sufficient resources to validating demand, building an audience, and selling. Instead of talking to real customers, testing willingness to pay early, and iterating on the product in a scrappy way, they hide behind insanely complex product work or pursue fundraising as a band-aid. This behavior is driven by fear of embarrassment and discomfort with the business development process. The result could be either wasting months or years spent building products nobody buys, raising capital on bad terms, and running the company in zombie mode for years, or burnout and a return to a corporate career they wanted to escape. All feedback welcome!

PROBLEM STATEMENT - SLIDE #1
Hello Team! Thank you for your work today in the meeting. Some of you have solid problem statements, others need to continue to refine and create their first slide in the pitch deck. We agreed that to make sure we all finish this stage, we will need to start creating our slide deck, slide by slide, until its complete in January 2026, when we host our Pitch Party. Please take a screenshot, and post it here in the comments section. Let's try to get EVERYONE on the same page. Here is mine to kick start the process, I want to see your before next week!

Working through the course solo, here's mine! Local Early-stage founders who are spending most of their time thinking about or working on their businesses struggle to find people they can share the challenges they face, because most people can’t relate. Online Communities or Free Networking events fail to solve the problem for a few reasons. Strong Relationships are complex to form online, due to physical distance and digital overwhelm. Free networking or free communities don’t have enough structure or consistency to form lasting relationships and are not structured in a way that promotes authentic open sharing, which can result in lost momentum, isolation, and high stress levels.
