Well it’s another 45 deg rainy day here in northern Wisconsin. My solution was to give this wonderful attar much needed attention. It is instant sunlight on my skin and scent profile. One drop/smear to the wrists and poof. Sunshine explosion in a sillage bubble around me. I swear the rain stopped just as I walked outside to take the pic. Taifi Rose and Jasmine mixed softly with amber at first. 15 min into it and I start to get the lemon, sandalwood and oud with slight incense weaving in and out but not overbearing like standing next to a baakhoor. Gentle and inviting. But unlike Tribute it is never overpowering in closed spaces remaining airy. You might think this would be more feminine but in reality I consider this more unisex. Leaning towards men. I’ve received tremendous amounts of compliments from both sexes from this over the years, especially anyone that has ever been or from the Middle East. Scent 9.8/10 Sillage 7/10 Projection 8/10

My collection is still pretty small, but I’ve worn Chanel Bleu de Chanel for years and years. I love the smell and I know it’s a classic, but I had never gotten a single compliment from a stranger. I recently bought Explorer and wow, what a difference. Someone tells me how good I smell almost every time I put it on…Incredible..

I felt nostalgic and reached for an oldie. I remember my older brother basically bathing in this everyday. Lol Drakkar Noir is making a comeback!!

...And I bought a bottle of Born in Roma Coral Fantasy to celebrate. I absolutely LOVE the new Extradose. After sampling Coral Fantasy once, I knew it was also a must have for me.

So as it relates to fragrances, I've got my favorites for work and casual. But my date fragrances, I want my wife to like, otherwise what's the point? She's an amazing woman, and after 24 years of marriage, I am realizing for the first time her one shortcoming. Her nose is broken. I got a hint when she hated YSL La Nuit de L'Homme. Now I know for sure. How can she think Jazz Club is just "meh?" Everyone here knows what a great fragrance this is. So the challenge has been made, and I gladly accept it. The quest for the Holy Grail of a fragrance my wife will love. I've got my picks, that was easy. Now for the real challenge. Wish me luck.
