Branding
Hey Guys! I was wondering if you have any advice on putting together a cohesive brand. I really have narrowed in on my sound for my tracks. I know an artists music should have a visual aspect of it. For example, a vibe to your photos, cohesive artwork ect. But how do you find what that visual aspect could be. I feel my last full of remixes make me feel like I'm at a music festival or at an outdoor day party lmao, but still mature and nostalgic. How can I build up that with branding?

Glad you feel like you have narrowed in on your sound! I have a background in music/entertainment marketing so figured I’d chime in. I think anything visual that is associated with you or your music should be treated like a brand system or a product color palette. Think Apple using minimal, clean, white/metal tones. People start to subconsciously recognize certain colors, textures, and visual styles as belonging to a brand. Artists can do the same thing. If the visuals consistently match the feeling of your sound it starts to build a recognizable identity. Over time people don’t just recognize the music, they recognize the aesthetic that comes with it which creates repeated brand frequency. It doesn’t mean every release has to look identical, but having a core palette or vibe that ties things together helps build a “shelf presence” in the digital and physical spaces where your audience encounters you.

Oh i love this. If you can squeeze a lead in there it would be the cherry on top. Also this may be personal preference but I think it needs a different snare/clap, or take what you've done with snare/clap and build upon that to add some depth. I feel like it currently doesn't add to the energy of the song but the overall sound itself is awesome. Good stuff.
GREAT WEEK FOR GOALS
What are all of our goals this week? Personally I have a very busy week ahead of me. In the middle of 4 demos and just letting each flow. Got a session w Alex this week and gonna work on one. Also meeting with a vocalist that would be an insane land if it happens. Additionally just getting myself ready for MMW

Any production insight you have into making the stack feel like forward movement on a drop, like making it feel like energy is pushing forward through the space instead of it feeling static
New Original LEONDIS
I want this to be my next original. I havent sat down and really mixed this well nor have done much vocal processing, but would love any feedback on it. been loving the harmonies on the leads 2nd half of drop. any and all thoughts are appreciated

Excited for this to be your next original! It really feels like you but pushed just enough to feel fresh, well done. Also, wanted to piggy back off what @Brendan Carroll said about the chord pitch slides they are so clean. Super random thought for one of the drops (like around 1:06 in drop 1): what if right before it you collapse everything and let the vocals hang by themselves for a second? Almost like that falling off a cliff feeling before you dive into the drop. You could play with the space there a couple different ways so it feels like gravity flips for a split second before you explode into the drop. Some of my favorite tracks do a quick downward pitch bend on one of the last vocal notes to really sell that fall, then a fast reverse swell that pulls you into the drop. So that brief moment could look like isolate vocal - holds breath - falling pitch bend - reverse swell pulls you in - DROP.
