Branding
Hey Guys! I was wondering if you have any advice on putting together a cohesive brand. I really have narrowed in on my sound for my tracks. I know an artists music should have a visual aspect of it. For example, a vibe to your photos, cohesive artwork ect. But how do you find what that visual aspect could be. I feel my last full of remixes make me feel like I'm at a music festival or at an outdoor day party lmao, but still mature and nostalgic. How can I build up that with branding?
Mashup Mixing
Hey everyone! Recently, i've started to make more mashups to play in my sets (some people may already know about this haha) but I feel like they're not really "clean". Obviously i'm not gonna be like Two Friends, but I feel like they can be better. All the ideas are there and they sound decent on a phone/Mac speaker, it's just when I keep listening on different bigger speakers (jbl party box, car tests, etc), it's pretty inconsistent. I'm sure there must be a way to fix this problem and mix the vocals with the instrumentals better, I just can't find a way that fits with most of my mashups. I know not everyone could help with this but I'd love to hear what y'all have to say! Thanks!

Writers Block
Yo! lately I have been dealing with writers block, I open my DAW to work on some ideas and what ever i make, it feels like the juices are not flowing and I get myself even more frustrated cause i know the idea is there but nothing is coming out. do you guys have any tips or what do ya'll do to get back in that creative mindset? anything helps hahah!

sometimes what i do is step away from project that not really flowing, and start something else just for fun. whatevers in my head i just throw it in my daw. It can be a totally different genre. It can be just messing with loops. Its good to just keep creating. Another thing I do when I either have writers block or just fatigued from a project ive been working on from a long time in my studio*, is work on something different on my laptop either on the couch or laying in my bed. Something about just messing around not at my studio desk, makes me feel less stressed, and take the production less serious. Alot of my recent remixes have been almost fully written instrumentals that started as a writing session for fun while laying down lmfao
NEW VID DROP🚨 [3/3]
Just dropped a 12 min video on how to create your own signature sound. This was a highly requested topic so I am glad i got to cover it. It takes time and a lot of experimentation ... but hopefully this video gives you some clarity and inspiration!! IN PREMIUM NOW! -Alex

Man I Need Remix
Hey everyone! I recently started this remix and actually am really liking it. I feel like the leads, chords, whatever are missing something but I can't put my finger on it. I also know the break could use some work so any tips on the break/buildup would be really helpful. Thanks! And thanks to @Richard Holzhauer too! he's given me really good info that I've used in this one!

hell yea bro! its getting there. Remember, fill out the frequency spectrum, and the stereo field with the chord layers. Also the vocal sounds a little wide. Bring it closer to mono, and have the chords wrap around it. Hyped to hear updates!

@Louis St. John yea! so there's different ways I go about it, and I'm still continuing to learn and improve at it! I would say have your chords/harmonies spread across the multiple octaves. Not too many notes close together to where it sounds to dense and muddy, but also not too spread out to where you have notes sounding too unnatural. For example, just a really high note. I would do this with both more mono elements, and also with more stereo elements. They can be played together & take up the same frequencies (to an extent), because they are physically being played in different parts of the stereo field (to an extent) I recently did a studio session with @Alex Leondis , and he said something that resonated so much with me. Basically, through all the technical stuff - listen to your own song as if you were an outside listener. How would they hear the song? What would sound natural to them? - now relate that to your own elements. That really helped me not overthink, and simplify, not only my layering process, but my production process as a whole. As for which elements to use, that is totally up to you. There are artists who use guitars with pads, and super saws. There are artist that use pianos and pads [think kygo vibes]. There are artists that use just multiple instances of saws. The texture and vibe are up to you, as long as you just fill the spectrum and stereo field. This is just my perspective, so please anyone feel free to comment, and give other input if they have
