Petanque Performance Journal Training Week 1 is FREE now
I had a chat with Steve and we are opening the first training for free to every member tonight at 6.30pm UK time. This is to give you all a taster of the contents and the difference we believe it will make to your game. The following weeks will be for members only who have upgraded. This is the link, it's a good idea to click it early in case you need to download zoom or get any updates necessary. Steve and I hope to see many of you tonight! https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86362627536?pwd=kMm9bQXSMIw83oCdwALghaQBQbNfk3.1

We win or we learn - What was your report this weekend?
I played 2 comps today on the back of losing 13/12 twice yesterday in a triples. The first was singles which I really enjoy! First game was against a French junior champion. I was in control, pointing well and shooting well. I was 9/2 up and confident. Then a couple of huge misses at key points where if I hit I would score 3 but miss and lose 1. Then a bad end where I got 2 atrocious kicks from hidden stones and I found myself 10/9 down. I attacked and shot and carreau twice but miss the 3rd. Same thing in the next end and eventually lost 13/12 😡 Second game was a carbon copy of the first except it was a local champion who only missed 1 shot the entire game. We went toe to toe until 10/10 when I shot and carreau twice but missed the 3rd! He eventually beats me 13/12 🤬 Into doubles in the afternoon with a great local player who shoots from a squat position. Tough draw again and we lose 13/12🤬🤬🤬🤬I play 90% and he plays 80% but the opposition play better. Next game exactly the same happens against a strong Catalan team and despite playing 95% we lose 13/12! I can’t believe I lost every game to the same score. What are the lessons after this There are no guarantees in life, I can play perfect boule and still lose. The boule gods didn’t shine on me and after a 3 hour game and 15 dead ends the choice of jack placement was VIP. I hit drawn into a game I was uncomfortable with, I listened to the crowd that was partisan and should have played my own game. What lessons did you have from this weekend?

This weekend I did a competition a very small one I’m a beginner you know in promotion level. This was a dual opposition which started a bit weird but we recover and get higher like 8/6 when a thought come to my mind saying something like ok it should be doable but then bad game start from me and finally we stayed at 8 while opponent win. So I didn’t realize this when we get into the second turn we started to play and the other team was really strong. At 0-10 my friend pick up the point but no way we could not prevent « la tole » meaning we lost by 0-13. Yesterday evening I was a bit upset and more disappointed, telling myself what did I miss, why am I training myself and I’m not able to reproduce at all what I’m able to do in the training. Then a couple hours later I stated to think about this two games and more precisely trying to identify what was the good of thoses two games. I realize I point several bowl in fact very well I need to improve that and especially on this kind of surface close to the concrete. And the second I learn is ok this is like what it is I have to accept and go on and continue my training
Selection of coaching videos uploaded today
I've recorded some good videos this week once I started to feel better. I had cancelled my filming schedule which gave me ample tie to focus on some lessons. These will be release one the next 2-3 days and I'd appreciate your thoughts on them and if you want a specific video recorded to address any issue you might have in the game. Here is one I recorded specifically for @Zac Kelly-lord https://youtu.be/fusFNESYDhQ?si=_iAapY54TGrG0Lca
