Everyone, my name is James. Born in the Bay Area; building in Arizona. My wife and I moved to Phoenix Metro area 8 years ago for a church plant/launch. She's the Worship Leader and I am the Music and Production Director. Serving our local community is something we are deeply passionate about. Many, MANY, moons ago I met Kyle through a mutual friend and had the privilege to shadow a wedding with him, where I fortunately met Camryn. I can't say we become the best of buds from then on out, but I've truly admired witnessing the growth of their craft and now am honored to be a part of what they have built. In 2020, a camera and a role fell on my lap. This was due to the pandemic. As a musician, I've always been fascinated by the art of videography and what it can do, but now there was no turning back. I had to sink or swim... I sank... Instead of going to school to become proficient, I enrolled in YouTube Tech (yes, that's a joke) and practiced and practiced. The challenge I found was not even knowing the terms what I what I was looking for. This was a whole new world to me and I didn't have a community to lean on. The only way I learned, was by doing. I started shooting weddings pretty quickly as a side hustle, which ended up being one of the best things to happen to me. I was forced to know/learn my camera and it's capabilities inside and out and how to to adapt in any situation in a matter of moments. But the reward of gifting something priceless to a beautiful couple that they can cherish for the rest of life? C'mon now. This is why we are here. For people. In May 2024, I gave my 9-5 my notice and haven't looked back. I took a break from weddings to focus on the bigger production and cooperate stuff, but am truly excited to get back to one of my early loves. As mentioned before, community is everything. I've been a part of many because of the importance, but have also watched them fizzle out. I have high hopes for Wedding Crashers and the impact it'll make. 🤘🤘
