I officially quit my job last week and got a first gig as of today: long term agreement on freelance base for Creative Strategy. 24 -32h a week for 6k (euros) + performance bonuses. I put in the work to learn CS these last few months and started to outreach in the beginning of June. Very excited!!

Got a DM around a month ago asking me to set up email flows for this ecom brand. Convinced them to give up on the cute Figma designs and start sending text-based emails to their list. Month One: 415% increase in email revenue compared to the previous month.

Something was bothering me about ecom bros showing on twitter how ai ads print money and it wasnt just pure lack of care about customers. Whenever I saw examples of those ai ads, it was never used for like actually legit product - something with tangible results, good track record, satisfied customers, etc. It is always something weird, sketchy and making too many promises. Like all these companies felt like big cash grab, "milk it till its dry and move on" schemes and no proper brand building. On top of my mind is famous brand Gruns, they use some tacky ai ads on meta and they are sorta kinda bit of scam. Like the nutritional values of their vitamins look alright but any greens powders (yes even AG1) are kinda bs, basically useless, proprietary blends are big warning sign (expensive and good stuff is barely there and it is bloated with whatever is cheapest) and all the extra ingredients lack research that would say "yes there is direct benefit to your health". You are buying expensive vitamins in gummy form with placebo effect. So I am not sure about anyone else but in my mind I have strict guidelines that dictate what kind of biz I would like to work with and I was getting worried that I would be "forced" to write copy for some AI bs but then I realized all the ai ads I have seen so far are never for product/company that anyone with integrity and moral compass would work for. I know damn well that I am not match for company that is selling miracle cream for wrinkles that disappear in one week (that has no actual ingredients that would support it) or testosterone booster pills (that is simply not a way to do it lmao). Has anyone seen genuinely good company/product use obvious AI generated ads?

They seem picky, demanding and impatient so we will get along well. - Booked demo with Hypertide to upgrade cold email infra. I don't want a VA and can't set up this many inboxes manually anymore. - Re-ran architect's prospecting list of CRE developers by building they are working on or have worked on with Claude + Claygent + AI Ark. Never doing this deliverable again. Lost money on this. Just use Crexi or Loopnet next time... stupid! - Finish Winning Ads Re-Combination Matrix for Creative Strategy DTC gig & polished 10 new concepts x 5 variants = 50 new winning ad re-combinations to feed Andromeda's fat face. - Messaged CMO that's friends with one of the CMOs I work with. He has 10 winning ads in his clients account, so I'm seeing if he's interested in Winning Ads Re-combination Matrix and if he's liquid now. - Started list of potential partnerships/referral requests for CRO agency client based on their existing network. 7 so far. Need more. - Scraped every 15-40 headcount agency in America with Meta/FB ads keywords. Got their business contact email & leadership roles enriched. I don't know why I did this. I just wanted this list all the sudden. - Did IVOC research for CS Academy capstone project which is 1 static and 1 video FB ad for a foldable fishing rod. 2 ads due this weekend for feedback and run on 25th. I want the gold-leaf plaque you get for a winning ad for my Winventory. - Made tracker sheet of all the updates/requests/comms/payment dates/saas subscriptions to and from clients. Less herding kittens maybe. Slow day overall. Need mucho mas pipeline & some kind of Creative Strategy offer to pull of 30k net new. Clocked out at 2pm-ish. Started at 830am.
