@Ryan Robb Peace Ryan much gratitude. When I originally started one of my current companies, the mission was to tackle food deserts. Our strategy was to find local small farms and backyard farms, people with overgrown fruit and nut trees and then help harvest. Then we bring boxes of fresh local veggies to local Bodegas/Corner stores that are prevalent in food deserts and negotiate an impulse space near the register or counter similar to impulsive item placement, usually consignment. I say this because I know there is demand for the products that small producers are growing, and smaller producers should be creating their own infrastructures instead of trying to buy into a failed system. Over the years working in purchasing I have seen companies like Whole Foods restructure the food systems to fit their stakeholders rather than a system that should be supporting people and earth. There are many creative ways to build a sustainable business model that is scalable replacing old ways and creating many "new" or rather unseen opportunities for growth. I could go on and on about this.

@Ryan Robb in your situation maybe creative ways to educate your consumers. Image heavy product cards. I know the Choctaw ounce helped the Irish with farming techniques. Perhaps reminding your base about ways to avoid the same mistakes of the past. Would the store allow you to setup a demo where you can present methods of use while offering a special while on sight. I one hosted dinners with local producers inside local restaurants. This created an experience for the customers they walked away with products, knowledge and complete fulfillmen, building a relationship with the brand. Trust

Blue Oyster Mushroom Grow Kit
Small Space Growers: Show Your Setup
This one's for everyone growing in a closet, spare room, bathroom, garage, or apartment corner. Small space growing is how most of us started. Some of the most creative setups I've seen come from growers with limited space. I want to see: - Your grow area (closet, tent, shelf, tub) - - Your humidity solution - - Your lighting setup - - Any clever hacks you've figured out What works well in small spaces: - Martha tents (wire shelving + greenhouse cover) -- $40-60 - - Shotgun fruiting chambers for 1-5 blocks - - Automated misting with a timer and reptile fogger - - Grow tents repurposed for mushrooms Drop your photos and describe your setup.
