đź’ˇChallenge: Write Your Value Statement
Your Value Statement is the one-liner that tells people: - Who you help - What you do best - What result they get When you get this right, you can copy/paste it across Facebook, Instagram, Google Business, and your website — and finally have consistent messaging everywhere. Step 1: Answer These Building Blocks Fill in these blanks: 1. Who do you help? → __________________ 2. What do you do? → __________________ 3. What result do they get? → __________________ 4. What makes you different? → __________________ Step 2: Plug Into the Formula 👉 We help [WHO] with [WHAT] so they can [RESULT], through [DIFFERENTIATOR]. Write your draft Value Statement here:→ ___________________________________________ Step 3: Adapt for Each Channel Use your Value Statement as the foundation, then drop it into these formats: 🔹 Social Media Bio “Helping [WHO] with [WHAT] so they can [RESULT]. 📞 [phone] | Free Estimate” 🔹 Google Business Profile “At [Business Name], we specialize in [WHAT] for [WHO]. Our mission is to help them [RESULT] through [DIFFERENTIATOR]. Call today for a free estimate!” 🔹 Website Homepage - Hero Headline: “Protect Your Property with Expert [WHAT] in [LOCATION]” - Subheadline: “We help [WHO] achieve [RESULT] through [DIFFERENTIATOR].” - CTA Button: “Request Your Free Estimate” ✅ Your Action: Post your completed Value Statement here in the classroom. 👉 Pro tip: Even if it feels rough, share it. You’ll get feedback from the group and can refine it fast.

im too poor to hire good/highly skilled people at the moment, but talking with others in the same stage of business definitely helps. Goal for 2026 is hire an experience irrigation technician. But in the meantime I am working on building up this department from scratch.

Gold! thank you for making this into a video breakdown. im am not familiar with the rules around overtime pay. Does jobber automatically categorize anything over 40hrs/wk as overtime?

another question: If i am paying someone salary+bonus, would i just add this extra amount in gusto?
Fleet management
Hi everyone, quick question. For those that have multiple vehicles for your business (trucks, trailers, etc), how are you keeping up with preventative maintenance and whose responsibility would it be for your business. Would love to hear any feedback. Current fleet: 4 vehicles 2 Trailers

@Austin Gray Thank you so much for recording this breakdown and showing behind the scenes. This is exactly what i needed. I really like how you've consolidated all the information into one sheet. Im going to replicate that. My only question is related to bookkeeping. Do you provide your bookkeeper with receipts? if so, how are you getting them from jobber to your bookkeeper?

@Richard Campbell that was me. but now that we have multiple pieces of equipment and pulling my hair thinking about maintenance AND sales/consultations/quotes/etc.. Im currently in the process of delegating all Lawn Service equipment maintenance to our lawn care lead and all our project equipment to our project manager.

@Richard Campbell wow, thats incredible!. When it is time, I will need to pick your brain on what components are best. I dont have a set up right now but my plan is to build a rig on a truck for turf and plant chemical applications (herbicides/insecticides). I would need a tank, pump, and retractable hoses.
